Renovation with Wood and Plaster: With Antique Furniture and Art Inherited from Parents

A couple undertakes the renovation of an old apartment where their parents lived, guided by the design expertise of an architect. The renovation involved not only improving the layout and flow but also enhancing insulation by raising floors and walls, adding insulation materials, and incorporating wooden interior windows into large openings.
Natural materials such as sand plaster walls, ceilings, and larch solid wood floors were chosen for the interior. The furniture and art collected by the graphic designer father are cherished as a part of the family's history, creating an interior that exudes warmth.

A truly adorable home with antiques from two countries melding together wonderfully. There are a lot of aspects of this home that remind me of my paternal grandparents home in Australia surprisingly. The rooms are all good sizes with no amount of wasted space. This is a lovely family home that just wraps itself around you the moment you step in the door.

すみません、横から失礼します。身近に家にいながらリノベされた人がいますが、終了後、体調を崩されました。色々と気を遣われたり留守が簡単にできないので、大変だったと思います。なので、かなり厳しいかと感じます。 お茶出しやおやつ等、気配りにも気を遣いますからね。
