Episode 40: I finally bought a car! My first car is a Hiace. 4WD diesel cold region specification off-road style. In this video, I will explain how the car was delivered, my impressions from the first ride, and the advantages and disadvantages when compared to a small van.

What off-roading?))) Where is it going to go with that clearance? And with that kind of suspension travel? And bumper overhangs like that? All-wheel drive in such cars is only needed to start on a slippery surface.

That thing is a steal for $28,000. Hi-ace in my country is about $24,000 without 4WD and Automatic Transmission. No 4WD offroad tires options as well. It is as plain as it can be with steel tires, A/C, radio and manual transmission 2WD.

I never get tired of seeing Japan. One of the best countries in the world, in my opinion. I love Japan. I love how busy it seems. The part of Canada that I grew up in, the praries, sometimes you could drive for over one hour and not see another vehicle or person. Just seemingly endless crop feilds. Even just seeing Japan through video, it's a complete culture shock to me. I hope you still enjoy your new vehicle! As for the concern about the vertical shaking, I would strongly suggest a rear sway link control arm. That will fix your issue one hundred percent. The size of it and being body on frame sort of puts it at a disadvantage until you install some sort of control arm for the rear.

Super nostalgic, my dad bought an H100 series to do deliveries for a hardware store he owned. I loved that van, it had just the single bench in the back with the rest of the area utilized as a truck bed. So many fond memories, travel safe and make wonderful memories

We have the same spec diesel engine, but with a manual trans and it's 2WD. It's been a great work horse us, hope it is the same for you.

thank you! I really like the off-road taste. I know that America has a 25-year import restriction on cars. It would be great if this model of Hiace could be used in America as well as kei trucks!I think it would be great if American big trucks and off-road vehicles could be used in Japan.

But sadly the kei trucks are illegal on roadways and can only be used on farms or for off-road use. :( I remember the episode where you used a Jeep Wrangler and I loved that because I own one myself! I'm really looking forward to your adventures in the new van!
