the good old hiace - that car is a beast - have seen it with 23 people on iy plus cargo - it can take abuse and still ride like a champ!!

Why can't we get a "new" Hiace or Proace in the states? Even a "cargo" version of the Sienna or Odyssey would be nice.

Based on steering wheel placement this is a European version. Does Toyota sell a North American version of this?
@jironmeisterАй бұрын
That's a JDM car, the last 4WD van Toyota sells in USA was the Previa in the 1990's

In Australia there hundreds of thousands of Toyota Hiaces why you Americans get so wrapped in them in Australia they are just a van that's it a van for trades people and delivery people they are just a work van and they are everywhere l don't have to go far from my house to see a Hiace and there are new ones and old ones around and they are sold by Toyota dealers l could go and by a Toyota Hiace van tomorrow they are street furniture they are the go to van in Australia and no Hiace van owner would never ever do there Hiace van up like yours if they did they would be called a wander some are do have company logos on them that's it and all of them are rear wheel drive they are a work vehicle and the the comuter is a small type of bus used by private schools for picking up and dropping of students also used for transporting disabled people around also used as taxis for disabled people and although the ones you get in the USA ate25 years old but there are 30 year old Toyota Hiaces still bean used for van stuff also Australia Post are now using Toyota Hiaces and the Ambulance service are evaluating them as Ambulances there just a van

Your long ass comment tells me that it's more than just a van
@lesklower7281Ай бұрын
@@fulcrum2168 No it's just a van it a vehicle that does van things and back in the 1990s l owneda Toyota Liteace and l used for van things and the Liteace was rear wheel drive but the Liteace also came as a 4X4 van and ldid see a couple driving around and they were not lifted or enormous tyres and wheels no chunky treaded tyres actually they looked like a rear wheel drive Liteace because in the 1990s in Australia there were not many 4X4 around infact my 1997 Toyota Hilux did not come as a 4X4 and we did get the 4 runner but l have only seen one ever and your Hiace custom l have seen a couple of them and thet haven't been converted into a monster van just left alone and they are a JDM vehicle but people didn't import vehicles from Japan much but today l see them every day because there are actually companies that go to Japan and buy a lot of them and import them into Australia and some of the vehicles are under a year old because you people are only allowed to import vehicles that are 25 years old you would be hard pressed to find a 25 year old JDM vehicle
