RENTED OUT MY CORVETTE ON TURO...

Rented a Corvette thru Turo out of San Francisco a few weeks ago. We rented it for two days. My girl and I was very careful with the car. No burn outs no crazy driving. We drove the freeways and on winding roads. Parked the car in my garage overnight. The next day we drove in the hills and on winding roads, but we drove within our abilities. Before we returned the car, I washed it and even wiped down the dusty engine. The car was in great shape when we picked it up. We returned it in even better shape. It was clean and it had a full tank of premium gas. I did tell the owner it probably would need tires in the future. I would 100% rent from this guy on Turo in the future. The vette felt very safe and well taken care of.

Rented your new corvette...bad decision. Most people that rent cars don't care. People that rent expensive or high-end cars are people who have champagne taste but can only afford a cheap can of beer.

I rented a C7 from a guy 2 years ago, brought it back with a full tank of 91 octane with a 3year aged Montecristo #2 in the glove compartment for him 😄

I rented a c8 in Hawaii I took care of it like it was my vett back home and I left a $20 bill for a wash sucks people dont respect the vett

I’m glad I’m one of the people that when I rent through Turo to treat it as mine. Respect someone’s vehicle as my own simple philosophy. But hopefully you flagged them in a review

Hate to see tht smh. I rented on turo once and probably will never again, the car owner tried to say I caused his car to leak oil??? I had it for 2 days and 600 miles but only used it 1 day and put like 250 miles on it. He didn't follow up on his bogus claim but I felt like I was being scammed😡 I guess after hearing your story it goes both ways....and he didn't file the claim until after I left him a good review (which he begged for) smh

To make it profitable you probably have to rent it out at least a minimum of 15 times a month. I'm sure your own personal insurance that you have on it will probably have a stipulation saying you can't use it as a rental vehicle. If it's stolen when it's being rented out it might be hard to put a claim in for it. So you might want to check that out. If i was an insurance company I wouldn't cover it. Think of it this way, a person that is renting the vehicle can duplicate the key and come back a week or a month later and steal it because they know where it's located at. Just something to think about......

my insurance covers turo rentals. and to cover expenses just need to rent it 3-4 times a month...

Put an air tag in it so you can track it and it’s speed possibly. Help make sure it’s not totally abused Love it tho. Great idea “renting out” have a good one.

Airtag doesn’t track speed. The car has features to monitor record all metrics.

I'll make sure to avoid this host. Too many complaints and entitled. If you are renting out a car, you are expecting to receive wear and tear. You should also expect to learn how to repair these minor things when renting out your cars....smh

did you read my comment of what I said in your last video when you were thinking about renting it out on Turo. Anyone who rents a sports vehicle is not going to be kind to it. Leave the car rentals to Hertz. This is my feeling: I'm not going to buy a vehicle that I can't afford, and have to rent it out in order to keep it. I'm just saying I don't think it's worth it. Just wait till you rent out your Jeep and say oh I'm not going to take 4 wheeling I promise. And then you get it back and they say oh I just went through a little bit of dirt but the underside is covered in mud and grass and the exhaust is smashed from hitting rocks. So not worth it except for the person that wants to rent it.😮.. and like I said when they find out your KZbinr they are really going to thrash it ... Specially if it's someone who's jealous of your channel....
