I would say it's not incredibly smooth. It has a little texture. If it's crazy textured, it will show right through

YES! it' comes off 100% clean! I have since removed it and the walls have 0 damage.

Warning to parents: this wall will ruin your life. lol Really, I had a chalkboard wall in our kid's playroom and it was a giant mistake. It's fun for one minute and looks great the first day, but we quickly realized what an absolute mess maker these walls are. Chalk dust on the floor and baseboards from each time we erased, or from the dust falling as they write and play with the chalk on the wall. Children's chalked up hands transferring to EVERYTHING else in the house, down hallways, on clothes, doors, furniture. You have to supervise, clean the floor beneath it immediately, and catch the kids for hand washing the instant they're done. Not to mention the fact that everyone walking by who accidentally brushes up on the wall will have an outfit smeared with chalk. It's really a headache and definitely not worth it. For reusable fun, we just got an adjustable dry-erase board on an easel , more contained and way less mess. Sorry for being a downer, but this particular one is such a bad idea for children! IMO and experience.

I can see how it can be that way - I agree with the chalk my kids get it all over themselves but to avoid the chalk dust I actually wipe the walls down with a damp cloth and we don’t see it on the ground at all. The colored chalk definitely stains but we keep to white. I personally like it especially because it’s confined to their room lol. We also don’t let them have the chalk without supervision 😂😂

reminiscent of God YHWH and i God Enosh YHWH ELOHIM...in Paradise creating his hibroo language and my English language...simultaneously...we had a green chalkboard, after God YHWH got board with the white chalk, and the "Blackboard"...so we gave him that name...and we still laugh today...incidentally , that was the "next" God YHWH created the earth, and the hibroo people...which is all before my father The Great I am God YHWH ELOHIM...created the rain on his earth...fun times

I bet the owner hated it. chalkboard paint is much easier to refresh or coat over for the next tenant.
