Renters tip: if you ever need to repair holes or peeling paint when the wall isn’t standard white, peel off a small tiny colour swatch (about the size of a penny) and take it to the paint store to get colour matched. Home Depot colour matches for free and a sample pot is less than $10.

Lol that is so true! I had an acquaintance who rented a home to tenants for several years. She made me extremely angry when she sat there and bragged about not replacing carpet, paint or anything else for years. Then, she had a tenant who had a dog who damaged some of the carpet, so this acquaintance of mine had no choice BUT to replace the carpet. But, get this: she made the tenant with the dog pay for it!! So, for all those years, this person rented the place out; never upgraded it; only has to pay property taxes once a year; made more than enough profit to upgrade the place then made her tenant pay to replace extremely old carpet used by who knows how many people in the past who had previously contributed to the wear and tear of the carpet. I was thinking that I wished I had enough money to buy a place to rent out. I wouldn't charge a renter for minor damages unless I the carpet has been recently replaced.

You should cut them so they mesh together! Like cut out the half tiles on the ends so it's all only full size tiles.
@gooblegal8172 жыл бұрын
I've had these, only problem is the bump outs are hollow air pockets, so cutting them leaves an open gap. gluing it might work but I think that would make the shape a little awkward and might mess up the flow
@WildThyme692 жыл бұрын
@Patricia Rainey not cut out every tile, but cut out the half tiles on the ends so you can mesh pieces together, like puzzle pieces. The way she painted the grout around the half tiles draws attention to the fact that the tiles are different sizes and makes it look even more fake.
@kookycoolauntkaryn58842 жыл бұрын
@@WildThyme69 Patricia is correct about them getting ruined because these are hollow and I mean they come from dollar tree... that means their retail value is 1$.... their wholesale value is about 20 cents per pack so if you tried to make the1m staggered like a dove tail joint /interlocking puzzle you would ruin their structural integrity and I have these so I feel like some of the sticker paper will fall off too since it had nothing to keep it sealed to the faux brick... but if you were going to attach them a different way the puzzle joints would definitely make them look more real/natural!!!
@noelledelez2 жыл бұрын
I cut them and made them perfectly shaped.. doesn’t look great the hollow middles suck. Don’t do it! I feel bad wasting a whole day of effort on that
@nataliaturner4845 Жыл бұрын
Instead of cutting them, you could fill the gap between the half-tiles with caulk & paint over them. I think you would have to mount them first for that to work, so it might be a bit harder to do the painting & gloss finish on the wall instead of a table or counter, but I think the result would look better.

@MarioThemesong2 жыл бұрын
I came to say as a former maintenance tech of an apartment complex; cleaning up residue of glue/adhesive things like this usually involves having to mud a little to blend the layers of paint that get peeled off. The cheap stuff isn't so bad, but people all think "let's use "EASY REMOVE" 3M strips instead of nails! They'll thank us when they paint!.... Seriously, just use nails. On the other hand, another comment says specifically that these don't stick THAT well, so maybe not an issue. Good luck folks!
