you need to know the rules. most ladies in the Philippines are shy so they want you to make the 1st move and send them a message. if someone makes 1st contact this is a red flag and they are probably a scammer. you will see plenty of ladies who claim they are divorced, there is no divorce in the Philippines so stay away from all of them as there is a husband somewhere and he may not like you showing up and dating his wife. next is a woman with kids, guess what their dad is somewhere and he will never allow those kids to leave the P.I. so again stay away because if you marry those kids mother you don't have enough bribe money to pay off the kids farther. i would also read the book Culture Shock to start to understand that some of the things they do over there will just not make sense. next never talk about money or anything you purchased with it. when you bring money into a new relationship you quickly poison it. lastly never send money to a lady that you have not met person. is she hints around about money before you meet this is another red flag, you probably need to pull the plug and start over. i chatted with around 10 ladies before i found a "real one" been married 14 years and it was the best thing i have ever done, good luck and happy hunting.

I agree with you, Irish. I think that it is very sad for a young girl to sell her virginity to a total stranger who doesn't love her or respect her. More than likely she will get pregnant and then the guy who impregnated her will disappear, never to be seen again. Then she'll just be another single mom in the Philippines trying to raise a child without any help from anyone. The money that she gained will quickly disappear as she buys diapers, clothes and food for the baby that she will have to raise by herself...and it will be far more difficult for her to find a man who wants to be her husband and raise another man's child. I've been pondering a trip to the Philippines for about a year and have watched a ton of videos, off and on, as my interest in visiting a country that is half a world's uncomfortable flying away waxes and wanes. I think that I have things generally planned: avoid Manila (fly into Cebu) and catch a hop to Iloilo City, which seems to be my speed. Thanks to this channel's videos, and the videos of a few other channels that also aren't blatant shills for Christian Filipina or churning endless loads of expat drama, I have formulated a comprehensive set of rules for the trip to keep myself out of trouble: 1) Avoid bars and walking streets. Comprehensive, right? 🙂 The rest of it is stuff I do anyway: check the vibe, head on a swivel, be myself. On the topic of this video, I have considerable empathy for these girls. My go-to channel is The Fuentes Family (she asks some tricky questions of her interviewees!), and I've definitely noticed a NBSB phenomenon in a culture in which 25 is "getting up there" and early 30's is "past prime." If a woman gets passed over because she's too dark-skinned or her nose is too small or because she wants to finish college before dating or is the oldest and therefore responsible for her ENTIRE family, I can see the hard-nosed realism in monetizing her virginity as an asset. I hate the perceived necessity of it. I like that you balanced the topic by pointing out that ALL relationships are transactional. However, I disagree with the overly reductive transaction that Taraban describes, in which the entire relationship revolves around sex. That may be true for 17 year olds, but it's less true for adults who know who they are, are comfortable in their own company, and who recognize that the rare relationship that is characterized by mutual trust, connection, and emotional intimacy also tends to be very, very good in the world of physical intimacy. The BEST way is to get referrals from friends and family. People who positively assess your character over time are more willing to risk a family treasure. Churches work a lot like families. A young and sweet girl (untouched or not) might be carefully guarded by church elders who then consider introducing you once they are convinced of your character, morals, honor and goals. Many good girls were taken advantage of as early as age 14 but struggle to feed a child. Like it or not it is a business transaction. She knows she has something that some guy is willing to buy. It is risky, but she is in need of money to support family or better herself. There might be dreams of finding Mr. Right or Miss Right. I have read stories of guys falling in love with bar girls and bar girls trying to play the part of girlfriend. I can't think of anyone willing to pay someone $1000-$2000 to be their first. For guys into this , imagine that you daughter was willing to sell her Cherry to a random guy, how would you feel?

I never have either, yet I know a very beautiful untouched girl. She is super hesitant to accept a free gift I offered her (4yrs nursing school, her life's dream). I know what she is thinking, but I am engaged to another woman. So, there is a trick there. I call her "friend" and "little sister" so she understands how I see her, though i also recognize her immense value. My fiancée knows the details of our relationship and knows her face too. We might end up signing a contract where I have benchmarks for grades and for achievement, or for a repayment schedule, but it will be interest free. Alternatively, an agreement to offer employment post graduation is an option. It important to be kind. But it is impossible to claim to love a person, then to be selfish. Nevertheless, I cannot fault a girl who gives herself to a man in exchange for him enabling her life's dream. It is transactional and it is a good trade, giving her something she cannot achieve on her own in exchange for something he does not deserve. Shady? Yes! But, it should not be illegal, nor should others gossip about it. Let adults be adults and make adult decisions that they must live with the rest of their lives.
