Just a friendly advice, you should set up an Investment Budget as your second priority and Emergency Fund 3rd. So your monthly bills Budget is #1, Investment #2, Emergency Fund #3. If you stick with this you'll have significantly more money in the future as investments compound every year, just like the value of your Townhouse. Emergency Fund should be at least six months of expenses plus add three months for every child. Pay #1, #2 and #3 first before you send any cash to the Phil or buy toys. Your bank should have a good Financial Advisor, take advantage of that as they'll steer you into TFSA and education fund as well for your child.

Ohjh kabayan just tell your husband to take the severance pay before is too late ,I used to work for oil and gas and thats the nature of their work sometimes there is plenty of work sometimes there is none just move on to his new job. More experience is better for him. Anyways im coming back to Calgary on the 16 of october hope i can meet you guys in person.thank you and God first.

tama pala yung suggestion ng friend ko dito sa canada, mas nakakaipon ka pag rent ka lang, friend ko ksi single sya from vancouver pero calgary sya nagwowork, nagrerentlng sya 550 per month, malaki naiipon nya, kung bibili sya ng bahay, kasi kung susumahin daw yung upa mo sa gastos mo kung may sariling bahay triple daw ang laki, kasi sa renting house, libre lahat at walang sakit ng ulo, groceries lang, heater, gasolona lang iniintindi nya, yun lang lang binabayran nya and the rest free, sabi ng friend ko, bibili sya ng bahay pag nag asawa na sya, nag iipon sya, kaya na nga nya mag down ng half for house, kung mag mortgage sya, kaya lang ng kiniwenta nya laki ng gagastusin at pursigido sya magwork. yun nga lang waa kang privacy.

Ang laki tlga difference pag own house na.. but the good thimg tlga is sayo na yun after mo mbyaran unlike renting.non sense tlga. Ganun naisip namin nung kumuha kmi ng bhay. Hehe tiis tiis lng sa gastusin hehe.. gawa din kyo mga challenge.

I feel you po.. sadyang ganyan ang Buhay Canada..Pero not bad yung 800 difference. With all the conveniences na meron sariling bahay, sulit naman...AND, ang most important is yung equity mo after paying 5, 10 yrs or more...Meron ka ng savings for retirement😊👊...or kahit before retirement na medyo hirap na ang katawan dahil tumatanda, meron kang makukuha sa equity...happy for you guys! Marami talagang gastusin pag sariling bahay pero masarap sa pakiramdam dahil hinde napupunta sa iba ang binabayad. Paano mo sis nababa budget ang grocery parehas kasi tayo apat sa family ang laki ng grocery namin?
