Thanks for this! Had my first traveler for over 20 years. Just picked up a limited blue traveler for the table. Was just putting it together and trying to lock down the crank arm when I saw this video.

I use lever in a different manner. End-most tight position for me is when lever is 90degrees to jaws and its most open when i let it hang freely (vertically down) I have been using my traveller for almost 15 years with zero maintenance. Only thing that broke was O ring and that side nylon screw.... Jaws are intact.

Thanks for the tips. I can definitely use them on my Renzetti Traveler vise.

Can the 'handedness' of the vise be reversed? IE can you make a LH vise RH? Looking online it appears so but haven't found an answer direct from Renzetti

Your vises are good, your customer service is THE WORST. As someone in the industry, I tell people to proceed with caution.

That's too bad. I've had a completely different experience. I called, spoke to a knowledgeable person, and received the service I needed in a timely. and reasonable manner. I teach very basic fly tying and recommend the Traveler regularly, with no regrets.
