I saw REO on Sep 24, 1982 @ Reunion Arena in Dallas, TX and remember it like it was yesterday. This song wasn't out yet but, it's always been one of my favorites. Little did you know back in 1997 that you just recorded a very rare live version of the song. Thanks for posting, brings back some great memories!

Holy crap my heart sank when I seen merrillville!! I was just randomly looking for a live version of this song and found this lol. I just seen these guys in Hammond back in late august of this year, coming from merrillville. I met a girl there that told me last they played out in this area WAS the star plaza in merrillville! Awesome to see this video is basically in my home town here!

I saw them do this Live in 2013, Concert Drummer, doing the backup Vocals , was real good . this recording is very good but, its hard to hear the harmonies, this is a very tough song to for getting the key changes correct. and I understand that its a song , that was , that was suppose to be in the key of D but, its almost impossible to sing in that key range for any man , and make it sound proper. This song is one of the most beautiful arrangements very difficult to perform. live. with full Band.

Actually, the song is supposed to be in the key of B. He's playing it in A. So, not a big drop at all.

@@mikeuher5054 Yeah not much of a drop here. This song was co-written by Tom Kelly, who has an insanely high singing voice. It was no coincidence that Kelly spent the 80s writing hits for Heart, The Bangles, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper.
