If you want to hear an amazingly beautiful song by REO Speedwagon you should listen to Can't fight this feeling!!!!!!
@roypartible97593 жыл бұрын
Yeah, "I Can't Fight This Feeling" is more of a soaring ballad like Journey, and it's more piano centric than electric guitar. I think you might like that better.

Talk about overreacting.....lol. yes, REO sold tons of records, but it wasnt billions!!! Lmao. DOLLY Parton has been in the business since 1965, and is well known for selling more records than most other performers. She has a total of 170 million records sold. Its good to appreciate your favorite artists though.

Hi Angela. I love watching you review songs. funny you mention Journey. First time I saw Journey REO opened for them. great concert. I don't know if you read when you get new comments. but every song on this album Hi Infidelity good songs. This happens to be one of my favorite REO songs. You need to watch video to the end. you missed the psychiatrist at end listening to him talk about his dream. Anyway I know this video is different. but back when MTV started. they came up with all kinds videos that don't even truly represent. but I like how you brought out parts in the video with all the guys. God Bless You & love your reactions

Growing up in the 80's, this was one of those catchy love songs that young boys like myself associated with teenage love. Skating to it at the roller rink, slow dancing, etc. REO Speedwagon was big back in the day, because their music resonated. There's room for Journey and REO in your life. Their greatest hits album is a must-have.

Based on your tastes, prolly need to go to "I Can't Fight This Feeling" as far as REO goes. Kudos for not pausing during the guitar solo, I'm super-fussy about guitar solos, and that one is a favorite "most tasteful" one. The guitarist has passed on. Also note the female backup singers during the chorus, they are spectacular. Never occurred to me Kevin has an unusual voice till you mentioned it. He has stated that the most comfortable place he is in life...is on stage.

Without coming off as overly insipid, 'Keep On Loving You' harbours one of the best keyboard-guided melodies of its type, blanketed by lyrics that are simple yet overwhelmingly emotive. A polished keyboard melody has a crunchy guitar rhythm soaring over it - blanketed by lyrics that are simple yet overwhelmingly emotive. A hit formula that was masterfully executed and one to avoid listening to on-loop after having been dumped.

As far as REO goes, then you'd likely need to listen to "I Can't Fight This Feeling," based on the style of music you seem to like. Good job waiting for the guitar solo to end before pausing; I'm super-fussy about guitar solos, and that one was among my favorite "most tasteful" solos, it was perfect. (The guitarist has passed on). Also go back and listen to the female backup singers during the chorus...they're spectacular. Never occurred to me Kevin had a unique voice till ya

There's a difference between the perception of love and the reality of love. If someone can accept someone regardless of their past regardless of who or what they may have done prior to the relationship is one thing but when someone is willing to go above and beyond the spectrum of our own opinions or imagination and be there no matter what... It defines the person as well as the emotions felt for the other. Real love doesn't run away, it runs towards the other.

The thing about great bands and REO has been a great band for a long time is if they don't get ya with this song they'll get ya with the next one. Forget about the video, that was for MTV or VH-1 but this was a huge hit for them. A better song by REO is Can't Fight This Feeling. As for a song to react to how about Bad Company by Bad Company. Bad Company is another of Rocks multi-decade multi-generational bands.

This album was huge when it came out. Rumor has it that it was written by Kevin about his wife 'or girlfriend' during that time in his life whom wasn't quite as faithful as to their relationship as she should have been. By the way, there are other songs on that album which was titled High-Infidelity that represent and have to do with what else...infidelity. Ps: REO Speedwagon is a great band with some great hits but can't come close to Journey's catalog of incredible music..particularly the power ballads. 2 other REO songs worth giving a listen are Roll with the Changes and Take it on the Run. Both are completely different in style but great songs. ✌

You need to do some Queen, Freddy Mercury on vocals and Brian May on guitar can stand up to any Journey comparisons as far as how good they are, the musicians in those bands are on a different level, enjoyed by anyone who loves great music. Try Bohemian Rhapsody, it has way over a BILLION Hits on YT and for good reason, very innovative and unique song from their musical genius. They have dozens of good songs. We Will Rock You/We are the Champions are meant to be heard together and are radio and stream staples to this day. Check them out, I love Journey, too and have seen both amazing bands many times. (Queen 3 times and Journey 9 times) Enjoy! 😎

I appreciate your candor in this review. Now maybe I can recommend something a little more up your alley. Try the Bangles lighthearted, colorful romp through the past on the single, IN MY ROOM. Or perhaps, Joan Jett in her stadium rocking best video for DO YOU WANNA TOUCH ME ( OH, YEAH ). To be honest, this album took REO Speedwagon into new territory. They were more rock before the super success of High Infidelity. It divided fans who supported them for years as well as members of the band. I think they wanted to tap into the audience that Journey had built and crafted an album that trapped them with its overwhelming success. They remained popular. But they also never recovered.
