Awesome review! Question: Can I set-up multiple E1-Zoom cameras in different homes (on their respective wifi networks) in the same app? Do I use the "Add Other Network" function to do this or just scan the bar code of each camera in my separate homes?

Is E1 Zoom working with Reolink custom component for Home Assistant? If I'm not mistaken, E1 Pro isn't supported still.

Hey BT. The E1 Zoom works great in HA with the custom component. But yeah I think the standard E1 and E1 Pro are not supported.

Thanks for sharing! Please share with us what kind of surveillance Station you have. I'm also interested in your router. I'm my particular case with so many IoT device I'm having some issues and I don't know if makes sanse to change to unifi or something quite professional.

why do you FOUR options to the RIGHT of playback / I only have TWO the LOCK and GEAR (two to the furthest right). How do you get all four to show up / ?

@@virgilio1956 I remember I had to manually update the firmware using the web interface and file from Reolink. Not sure if the OTA update just using the app fixes this now. I think I covered this in another video at some point :)

@@MarkWattTech thanks Mark, finally got it running. Recorded a video, to my PC, now I can't delete it, somehow/someway it turned on my pc admin, and it won't let me manually delete the video. What a messy set up

I have been looking at lots of these indoor cameras reviews and I still don’t know which one to get. Ideally I would like the Sd card option and motion detection. I am happy to pay more than just get a cheap one. Which one would you recommend?

Hey Pilar. Out of all of the ones I have used of late, the reolink one is still my favorite. It is reliable, works great and the software is great. If your happy to spend more I would go for the E1 Zoom for sure. I am going to be releasing a few more videos on other PTZ cameras in the coming weeks, and will be contrasting them all.

@@pilarmartinez3217 wicked :) I dont show it in this video, but if you do the firmware update, it lets you use the new web client (desktop client is better anyway). You also get access to the PTZ marking, so you can set points you want the camera to remember and can then call those positions :) The update is a manual process too, you will need to upload the firmware from Reolink to the camera via the client or web app. Give us a shout if you need any help :)

@@MarkWattTech What size for a decent SD card 64? 128? would you recommend?

@@Jools1478 it depends how much footage you want to record and keep. I have been using 64s in mine and find they hold plenty. When they fill up they just start overwriting the oldest footage and keep on going :) Ideally if you are going to want to save lots of data and have a couple of cameras it might be worth looking into the NVRs as appose to the SD cards.

I would try a full reset, and if that's no good reach out to reolink support via email. Their support has been great in my experience.

the zoom version has the desktop client, thats nice and easy. but if you want to make some more videos get the e1 standard lil cheaper and you can go through how to set up neolink and a HA integration with it.

Normally a fan but the E1 Zoom is RUBBISH. No ether net port. I had to delete and now can't connect to wifi. It says to hold reset but the camera lens is angled down an the reset is hidden.

You can manually move the camera to access the sdcard slot and reset pin hole.

At the minute I think it is the E1 Zoom. It has been super reliable and I haven’t had any issues with it. I have used Wyze, blink, amcrest, arlo, tapo and a few other indoor cameras but for me the E1 Zoom has just been super stable. And non of its features are locked behind a subscription. How about you? :)

Glad you found it useful Jame :) Does the Reolink Webclient work on Linux? (in my review I talk about it being dated, but after you do the newer firmware updates on the camera which is a manual update, you get the new Html5 web view). I will also be doing a video on the update process Cheers.

Awesome review, but the 10 seconds delay with Home Assistant integration is a major dealbreaker. Not useful at all.
