Food for thought...next time you return to Phils learn the as many Filipino carinderia style dishes and breadmaking of local bread/pastires. Good opportunity to create your own style carinderia as family business. Lisa's pan de sal is 👍. The sweet dough like braided bread with butter or margarine sprinkled sugar on top, Lisa can do it. same with ensaymada. I watch and follow "Bake N Roll" or Chef Rose of Cairo for their recipes and techniques, where I learn my Filipino bread making. Try to learn another good pastry called Brazo de Mercedes. It's very yummy.

I love Sister Liza's 2nd youngest child! He was really helpful and very curious. He showed great interest in baking and was very devoted to his mother's baking! And also Sister Liza for encouraging her children to allow his initiative to help her! And also your Mama's paying attention to her grandson all the time! I can see how good your mother is at raising you both, Andrei! Seeing how your Sister was a mother, I know she's a good mother to both of you! And also a good mother-in-law and grandmother! I'm very happy to see all of you getting well, and somehow, I feel envious! I always want to have the kind of mother who will always be there for you all the time

Just buy rash guards in the Philippines. They have that in the department store for children. The rash guards are long sleeves so the kids won't burn their skin. They are also available in sets. Even adults wear them. If the water is cold wearing a rash guard that is long sleeve will not make the swimmer feel the cold water.

PANDESAL RECIPE (HOMEMADE) Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups bread flour 1/2 cup white sugar 5 tbsp melted butter 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/4 cup fresh milk (lukewarm) 1 pouch rapid rise yeast 1 cup bread crumbs 1 tsp salt 1 egg 1 tbsp cooking oil -- Instructions: 1. Combine the yeast, sugar, and milk and stir until the yeast and sugar are fully dissolved. I’ve chosen milk instead of water because it just tastes better, but you can always use lukewarm water instead of the milk. 2. In the mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder then mix well. 3. Add the egg, butter, cooking oil, and yeast-sugar-milk mixture in the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients then mix again until dough is formed. You can use your hands to effectively mix the ingredients. 4. In a flat surface, knead the dough until the texture becomes fine. 5. Mould the dough and put back in the mixing bowl, cover with damp cloth and let the dough rise for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour. 6. After the dough has risen, transfer to a lightly floured working surface. Roll into a log then cut into four to six equal pieces. Take another portion of the dough, roll again into a log and cut into equal pieces, repeat this step until all the dough is done. 7. Roll each piece of dough in breadcrumbs then arrange on a baking tray for at least an inch apart, you don’t want it sticking together when it rises later on. 8. Leave the dough in the tray to rise again for 15-20 minutes. 9. Pre heat the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degree Celsius) for 10 minutes. If using a fan assisted oven, reduced the heat according to instructor’s manual. 10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until nicely browned outside. THIS IS MY RECIPE FOR HOMEMADE PANDESAL. Hope you’ll try this..😊😊

It is nice to hear that your family is back to baking filipino breads. Well, just a reminder, andrei, to watch out on your nephew, vanya, because I saw him in your video walking/stepping on the table where your siater liza is kneading the dough. There was also another instance in which your mother olga was cooking adobo outside, and vanya again was playing with a stick and putting it on the burning wood while his grandmother was cooking. Safety and cleanliness must be observed when cooking and baking. I hope you understand.

I liked listening to Mama Olga sing little Arseny to assure him in his sleep and Vanya may become a pastry chef! I like the very homey quality of your video today Sometimes I like my pan de sal different so I go to certain bakeries...there is a stuffed pan de sal and the fillings can vary - corned beef cooked in onions, ,adobo, and cheese cut up in sticks. These special edition pan de sals are very tasty and very popular.. I eat these as snacks r even light meals. Children bring them to school to eat for their snacks. Of course , if you want the plain original pan de sal which is a bit harder and crustier, this goes well with hot coffee or hot chocolate. I like this crusty pan de sal when it is still hotand fresh from the oven...I usually dip this in my hot coffee or chocolateI am excited that your sister is really preparing for your October trip to the Philippines...by then the sea at Samal beach may not be as warm as when Mama Olga and you swam there I am not skipping your KZbin ads so I can help you with your trip this October...take care and stay healtthy Mama Olga family
