Julie the first thing I did when I organised my wardrobe was decide on a colour palette. Neutrals and 3 accent colours. It really helped me then take the next steps and organise what I love and what suits me. I love wearing merino wool jumpers - a fine knit but with great warmth.Thank you for sharing.

Hi Julie, i love a wardrobe sort out, I've been doing this and, like you, now prefer thinner jumpers, cant get jackets on with thick knits. They are more flattering and i can't wear jeans now unless theyre very soft, good luck with your searches for new items.

Hi Julie 🙋♀️.. Oooh l do love watching your wardrobe reorganising …! You give me incentive to refresh my own ! ☺️ Yes l would definitely hang onto the grey chunky jumper…..Nice low colour tones and it would be very handy cosy and warm if we get any snow this ❄️🌨️❄️🌨️ winter! I like the finer knit oatmeal jumper I think more neutral shades are so versatile and I like the sage green ribbed jumper too … I am going to look for a silky shirt I haven’t had one in my wardrobe for ages Thanks for reminding me! Hi Julie! I agree about chunky jumpers, they can be very unflattering. I do wear them (our house can get quite cold and I don't put the heating on when WFH) but I try and choose ones with a V neck or zip/buttons which look better. One big recommendation from Next - there is a range called 'The Set', which is literally sets of things! Basics such as long sleeve Tees, jumpers etc sold in threes or fours at a really reasonable bundle prices. I recently got three fine knit jumpers in three different colours for (I think) £42. The quality is fantastic and they are brilliant for layering. Definitely worth a look if this is the kind of thing you're after. Xxx

Hi Julie, thank you for going through your wardrobe with us. You asked for suggestions (not always advisable to do depending on the outcome). I decided to jot down a few as I was watching. I must tell you that I am a chameleon character, in that I can live ‘in a bit of a mess’ for a time, and then have to act as I am really disturbed by the chaos! Watching the video I had a real job to stay with it (I always watch and enjoy your videos) but IMO your wardrobe could be tweaked. It looks very tidy and organised, but may be adjusted in the following ways. This is meant to be constructive rather than critical. You use velvet hangers which is good and space saving (I do also) but replace the black plastic ones. The velvet ones with hooks at the front are great (I use them also) but I use them to hang in cascade fashion as saves rail space (I usually use them in an out of season clothes wardrobe scenario). The hooks takes more rails space if they are near the top with only one garment on. If the buttons of shirt and jackets at the top and bottom are closed they take less space and remain less creased, and look tidier. Same with zips closed on trousers. As you mentioned, a black and matching or slightly paler blue would increase your use of the patterned skirt. The creases of the black jeans would maybe come out with another wash, I have a steam generator iron and never have any problems with creases. My Mum, years ago and only had a non-steam iron, used to dampen newly washed clothes and then roll them in a basket even overnight to ‘rest’ them. She was a perfect ironer in the days when women were mainly only housewives! I have lots, and I mean lots, of scarves, but still find that I have not suitable matching ones, and my tip would be to buy some plain colours rather than patterns as they are more restricting. I agree with the items you are moving on, including sadly, the grey fair isle jumper. I wear a lot of gilets, but you mentioned about not adding bulk. My daughter suggested buying a less padded gilet which you could wear under a coat in very cold weather. Uniqlo used to stock them and they fitted into a small bag when not in use, and also once I saw some in Primark which were really cheap. When you mentioned the burgundy velvet shirt you gave me an idea for my New Year’s trip! So thank you. I hope I don’t get too much criticism for my comments, as they are intended to be helpful, and as always it is easier to comment as an observer than to make decisions personally. Writing down your needs was a good idea. Marie Kondo would probably have had all your clothes out on the bed, and tried everything on! She says only keep things that give you ‘joy’. You did express similar feelings for some items in the video. My father used to say ‘If in doubt, do ‘nowt’ meaning if you’re not sure don’t go and buy etc. well, I don’t think you were expecting this, but then you did ask for comments. Hope there are some grains of useful advice/suggestions. Just looked at the length of this comment! It will be good to see your next video, part 2. Happy sorting!

I think you are right about chunky jumpers and glad you came to that conclusion. The finer knits really suit you. Have you ever had your ‘colours’ done to find out which colours would suit you best? Kettlewell Colours have a free click on link where you are asked lots of questions and to choose from a range of colours etc They then tell you which seasonal colour you are. I found that so helpful and now have a wardrobe full of colours which all mix and match. Really enjoyed this and look forward to the next ❤

Maybe.. chunky jumpers with minimal pattern? And I would suggest using a silky top under a chunky jumper? I’d like to think it makes a thicker jumper sit better, that and a damn good bra! I’m generous on top so use these tricks. And I’ve discovered cowl neck jumpers. The much bigger neck doesn’t annoy me. Those crinkly jeans, very annoying. I’ve had that type of material and it’s 😡. I loved that mint Peacocks jumper! Beautiful 😻

@whatjulieloves9921 Julie, take it back to tesco and get your money back or get something else, I think you can take gifts back until end January? You have only tried it on ,it's still got the labels on it, when I was young a friend I worked with always had new clothes on when we went out, we all thought she spent a lot on her clothes and one night when she was a little tipsy she said look and the labels were still in, she had long curly hair so they didn't show, she got them from catalogues ,shops and market, would wear them and send them back, I would never have had the cheek to do that but she did make us laugh 😃
