@Patrick McMahon Then I should make it fair by saying men need to have control of their emotions too. I’m just implying that women are better at sensing emotion better than men, they’re more emotionally in tune. That gets hard to turn off for many people when they need to remove their own ego from the equation. That’s where judges excel. And ACB exemplifies it beautifully. You could hear a couple times where she sounded distressed. But instead of breaking down or firing back angrily, or even breaking expression, she maintained everything wonderfully and answered everything with a fair and level response! Most men I know can’t keep their cool and their women are just as crazy. Women like ACB are exceptional. (I know I couldn’t remain that calm. I’d be looking like Sylvester from Looney Tunes, pale and shaking!)

YES, it is certainly possible. Anyone can run for president and it is easier to do that than say, buy a gun in most states or getting a marriage license. The real issue facing her is that she is a Progressive who is also (and not by her own doing) a "populist" (or i guess rather say she is extremely "popular" just for being charismatic...) and that scares the crap out of both parties who are both run by very big money concerns terrified of her "Green New Deal" which would seem tame to anyone say from Denmark or Sweden or Germany but considering Petro money is given in large sums to both Republican and Democratic centrist candidates to maintain the status quo of the power elite here and across the world, AOC fuels massive pushback that translates into unseen undercurrents that work against her from the top down. My understanding of the "below the water line" actions against her online alone would confuse and terrify any normal person, she is on the main agenda of every anti-American, anti-progressive, pro-oil, pro gun, pro hatred and divisiveness party, person or politician out there. They will try and do to her what they did to Bernie Sanders but his popularity is nowhere near what AOC's is and she will win if she can withstand the barrage of hatred that she elicits from those who need us to stay dumb and powerless. The American progressive party hasn't seen someone this popular in my lifetime, and considering the Hispanic voter base is now massive in the United States, AOC could win the presidency--my hope is she runs in 2028 considering Biden will likely run and win again in 2024 in his last term and then it's up to the DNC (Democratic National Convention who basically funnel campaign dollars to Democrat candidates) who will do all they can to push back on her but will eventually cave because they will eventually be outed as anti-progressive and they would die in such light. Cross your fingers!

I would never say something like that, such talk is unrealistic and cruel, but this nation was founded and settled by anglos and germans. Just because people were living on the land that the nation was built on, that doesn't necessarily make them part of the nation. An especially poignant example, when the Aztecs conquered their empire (they originally migrated from elsewhere) the defeated tribes that continued to live in what is now Mexico were not part of the Aztec nation, they were subjects. I doubt the average person that would say something so antisocial thinks that deeply about it, but that is the spirit from which this sentiment comes from. The fact of the matter is, that modern Western nations are unique in allowing, on a regular basis, non-founding stock to become full members of their nation. This, however, will always be rejected by some, especially those founding stock who feel they have something to lose. By the same token, newer groups will always carry resentment for the founding stock as, inevitably, institutions and societal conventions will be easier to navigate for the people that designed them, for reasons having to do with both differences in culture and the prevalence of different heritable traits between the two groups. Efforts to change these conventions or provide restitution (from taxes) to groups that have difficulty will simply spawn more resentment in the founding stock. I would venture to suggest that pluralistic societies will always have such conflicts as long as scarcity is part of the human condition. This is not even going into the kinds of conflicts that can develop between multiple different groups of non-founding people.

What is sad about the quote “My family did not raise me to take abuse from men” is that many families do raise young girls into women that view their self worth so low that they feel the need to take the abuse to survive, for one reason or another. We fight for all women, even the ones that think they’re not worth it. You are worth it! If you’re reading this thinking you may have grown in abusive home life, please consider getting therapy in your local area- it works wonders! I wonder how Mr. Yoho would feel if another male said those things to his mother, his wife or his daughters? I am sure it happens in his home, that sort of verbal abuse, because he can verbally attack another woman. Makes you wonder how many times he has done it. @Linda Erwin22 And I'll use my 1st amendment rights, YOU are exactly what you've called the Congresswomsn and worse. YOU are a mindless, gutless sheep hiding like a coward behind a keyboard and anonymity... attacking a woman [same species], an elected official, for representing the people of her state. You, a coward, represent mean-spirited creatures that a loving God created, actively and publicly abusing the purpose and privilege of life/living amongst others. Your purpose is yo show the rest of the world why that living and loving God tossed Lucifer and his minions from heaven...disrespecting God and all those made in Her/His image thinking themselves better and smarter than the Creator that made us all. May God have mercy on you because I, a perfectly imperfect woman...surely wouldn't have it within my heart to do so. Slag

Very true. Although I fundamentally disagree with AOC on every issue she stands for the one thing that irritates me the most in today’s political climate is that lack of respect for a different opinion. There is no need for any type of hostility or disrespect, especially when they are both professionals. I’m a software engineer and I’ll have meetings where I’ll be disagreeing with my team on certain issues (i work in a very diverse environment) and never would I stoop so low to try and throw someone’s opinion away just because of their gender affiliation, race, religion, etc.. I lean towards the right because of certain values I have but that doesn’t mean I will act rudely to those who don’t believe in the same ideology as me. I am glad she stood up for herself and I am disguised by that gentleman and how he can try and represent my ideas with his type of composure because that is not at all how I want my beliefs to be associated with.
