Rep. Matt Gaetz grills FBI Director Christoper Wray for his failure to disclose President Biden's mental decline and says he saw 'no decline' in Biden before he dropped out.
Former President Trump called on FBI Director Christopher Wray to resign on Wednesday for allegedly lying to Congress about President Biden's mental competency.
The big picture: The Trump appointee, whose term is set to run into 2027, has previously come under heavy criticism from the former president and his allies.
Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform that Wray's response indicates he "found nothing wrong, mentally or physically, with 'Joe.'"
"If that is the case, Director Wray should resign immediately from the FBI, and stop 'sweet talking' Congress every time he goes up, which he loves to do, because anybody can see that Joe Biden is cognitively and physically challenged, and if you can't see that, you sure as hell can't be running the FBI," Trump said.
During that hearing, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) asked Wray when he began to notice "cognitive decline" in Biden.
Wray said he doesn't meet with the president often, "but what you're describing is not something that I've observed during my interactions."

I think there's more to the story than we all think. For instance, the guy who got shot in the head is laying in the bleachers with everyone still sitting down pointing at him yelling "He got shot in the head. He got shot in the head." Then some older gentlemen from the top of the bleachers walks down the steps pulls out a rag that was hanging out of his back pocket to apparently place on the head of the guy and weird part is the woman sitting next to the dead guy on the bleachers turns to help and also has a rag sticking out of her back pocket. Does everybody around there have a rag sticking out of their back pocket? I've never seen women walk around with a rag sticking out of their back pocket. People yelling all looked like actors to me.
