A dear friend was contemplating suicide thinking that life had him so down he had no reason to live anymore. As a last resort I sent him this movie. He watched it and It saved his life. He called and thanked me for saving his life. I told him it was a gift from GOD and said thanks for my wings... Be sure to get your wings this year by helping someone in need. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.....

This film is part of my Christmas movie marathon every year. And every time this part of the movie plays, I get a tear in my eye. I remember all the great actors that made this film so memorable, Jimmy Stewart (George Bailey), Donna Reed (Mary Bailey), Beulah Bondi (Ma Bailey), Thomas Mitchell (Uncle Billy Bailey), Todd Karns (Harry Bailey), Ward Bond (Bert the Cop), Lionel Barrymore (Old Man Potter), Frank Faylen (Ernie the Taxi Driver), H.B. Warner (Mr. Gower, Druggist) and of course, Henry Travers as Clarence Oddbody, Angel 2nd class. It's not just the Christmas season that makes this film, it is the wonderful direction and story presented by Director Frank Capra that makes this such a treat to watch over and over again!

I watch this wonderful movie every year I've seen it 100's of times & I still come back to it. It has the most happiest uplifting ending & so many movies of the 30's & 40's are classics because they deliver a message that endures thru the ages. Unlike modern movies & it's why I favor old movies just for that reason. They were better with higher standards than today. We spend too much time worrying about things that are not important. So $8000 went missing so what & it was Potter that stole it. I was in debt $32,000 in 2016 from bad investments & being careless with money. Everything was going against me & I was heading for a major financial train wreck. It was hell & I felt like George Bailey at the end of my rope.. I was that silly stupid old fool like Uncle Billy. But I survived it & I'm back on my feet debt free & slowly rebuilding & saving my money to get to a better place. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. It's important to follow your heart & do your purpose & mission & what makes you happy.. But sometimes you get saddled with responsibilities you don't like. I been there too. Happy 2024 !!

It is by far our favorite family tradition, and the film means so much to us both. Four years ago, he proposed outside the Music Box Theater in Chicago after our annual viewing of the film. This upcoming January will be our second wedding anniversary. We closed out our wedding reception by playing this exact clip and singing along with our loved ones to Auld Lange Syne. We will forever be grateful to Frank Capra, Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, and every other person who made this film possible for giving us something to cherish so dearly and help us appreciate how wonderful life really is.
