She gorgeous, love those extra long eyelashes! I enjoyed hearing your opinion on arteza and in the future would be interested on knowing if you continue using them or if they're more of just a couple time use item. I also would highly recommend getting an Afmat electric pencil sharpener, I recently got one and it took me about 5 seconds per pencil to get a very pointy tip. It made my pack of 72 pencils take just minutes to sharpen. It cost me around $30 but was completely worth it.
@jackyohhhxo4 жыл бұрын
thank ya!! ive actually been using arteza in combination with my faber castell and derwent in the next couple repaints. i do really like em :) i picked up the sharpener ya recommended! it comes tomorrow lol im excited to give it a try because manually sharpening pencils sucks so hard haha

I love your style. Im trying to get the supplies to start my own doll repaints and your and dollightful’s styles are so inspiring to me. To answer your question about her face mold, Kiyomi is the daughter of the faceless ghost. So my assumption why she doesn’t have a lot of super detail in the face is because she isn’t suppose to have one but she’s a doll so they had to give her a little something lol
@jackyohhhxo2 жыл бұрын
im happy ya like my style! ooo i never really thought of that, i was aware she was a faceless ghost but didnt really put two and two together :D

@jackyohhhxo4 жыл бұрын
it seems to be a problem alot of people have :/ i find if i sharpen them sort of slowly in my sharpener it helps. someone above in a comment recommended an electric sharpener which i picked up and hopefully that helps a bit. i use so many pencils during repaints it takes forever going through and sharpening all of them. thank you!!
@MeowlodieHL4 жыл бұрын
JackyOhhh That’s great tip! If it keeps happening, I’ll try out an electrical one.
@MayliSong4 жыл бұрын
Kiyomi's sculpt is probably odd because of the specific ghost she's supposed to be. She's a noppera-bo or faceless ghost, so her sculpt and paint is sort of weird to imply a face with as little detail as possible. Her new face is beautiful though!
@jackyohhhxo4 жыл бұрын
ahhh good to know! i definitely wanna eventually paint her again because i really like the outcome even if she has molded on eyeliner haha. thank you!

The sculpted eyeliner work as raised eyelids, so that's a plus!

a tip ive seen other doll collectors use to soften frizzy doll hair is to use either fabric softener or hair conditioner, or dish washing liquid and a bit of hot water.
@Dolleemixtures4 жыл бұрын
That doesn't work on all types of hair and is better for detangling rather than defrizzing
@jackyohhhxo4 жыл бұрын

Your dolls are beautiful, I love the way you do their lips and brows but I’d love to leave some constructive criticism. I’m not trying to be a hater, but the blushing especially on the forehead just feels off. It reads blotchy like rosacea, I’m not sure if it’s too heavy or maybe the wrong color tone for the skin. I mean this with no disrespect, you can ignore me and just tell me to take a long walk off a short pier. I really do enjoy your artwork.
@jackyohhhxo4 жыл бұрын
thank ya! and thanks for the feedback! im definitely fine with constructive criticism, some people are a bit rude with it but you werent :)
