REPAINT ! Spring Fairy OOAK Monster High Operetta Doll Custom Tutorial •JackyOhhh

hulloooooooo okay so todays repaint is a spring fairy monster high operetta doll! Ive been wanting to do a fairy doll for awhile so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to! this doll was made as a swap with worldswithinworlds on instagram so check out her lovely dolls!

tiny brushes:
-princeton velvettouch round 20/0(my fav)
-wargamer "the psycho" army painter brush (its actually called the psycho, this ones quite good. its not as stiff as the one above so i find i have a little less control but its still a nice brush for details)
-arteje 100/0 camlon micro paint brush( this ones quite a bit stiffer than the other two but its a super tiny brush. its a bit hard to control but probably the finest brush i have)
I use a liquid brush shaper i got from blick awhile ago with all these brushes. this has really helped me with their longevity and keeping their shape which is kind of difficult with really fine brushes.

Your faceups are always so detailed and beautiful but this doll is on another level! The colours are beautiful, the outfit is super cute and magical and you made Operetta's scar way prettier that it is on the original doll. I've never tried q-tips when doing faces and I'm going to try this technique on the next repaint :D

Love listening to you, you’re so funny, those painted original tattoos I just sand them off when I use the nail buffer to take off that shiny coat, way easier. This repaint was so fun to watch! Love your enthusiasm and trial and error, now I know not to buy dual chrome cellophane thinkin it might work! Thx for that info! I hadn’t bought any yet for that reason, not knowing if there was a difference! Yea I bought that same chopstick set for curling too lol. I love her “shoes”! Organic! So fairy-like! She’s incredible! Can’t wait to see the fairy you make for yourself!

thank ya! yea the sanding was definitely faster. its strange because normally the non acetone nail polish remover takes paint off super quick from the body but i guess whatever the tattoos were printed on with was a bit stronger. im really glad ya enjoyed watching it! and yea, cellophane definitely doesnt work. or it doesnt work as well as angelina film. i really liked her little sock shoe things! it gave me a good excuse to not have to work about her footware too much haha.

as far as glue goes, i havent used many in my short lived doll customization career, but i can say i hate fabri-tac. i have found that Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue from walmart works really well for me! * ps i am sorry im late on this video, beautiful doll and amazing improvements over the last year, much love!*

A recommendation for glue is E6000 I've seen a lot of people use it for reroots.

I love all the colors on her! It's hard giving away something you spent so much time and thought on, I hope you enjoy what you got in return. As for the Angelina film, I actually just ran into the same problem but found a better place to buy it from. I got mine from Making Fairies website, I recommend you check them out for future purchases. Can't wait to see your next fairy!

I really love her. I love that you used Operetta. I love this doll mold too. To answer your question where do dolls get shoes? Well the Cobbler Elves make them. You can find them in the forest next to the Elves baking cookies in the trees. They are just one tree over. LOL

aww i actually have a tiny scar in my forhead that bothers me alot. well not alot but like...it kind of looks like a wrinkle so that bothers me haha. i feel like operetta has a beautiful sculpt but she gets alot of flack for her scar so noone uses her. ya should paint an operetta, its really fun coloring in her scar and it may be therapeutic for ya!

its different. i actually bought duochrome cellophane because i thought it was angelina film and its not. i dont believe cellophane attaches to itself when heated up like angelina film, or atleast my cellophane didnt. thank you!!
