Repainting the Spinosaurus toy

Ever since I got the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Spinosaurus toy I knew the details in the sculpt could really shine with a simple repaint. Watch as I do a dark wash (which is watered down black acrylic paint), dry brushing, add details with permanent markers to make the Mattel toy better resemble the Spinosaurus from the movie Jurassic Park 3 (2001). Watch me do a super easy repaint of the Spinosaurus to make it better looking than before.

Your paints are looking really, really chalky and streaky. Please thin your paints the next time you repaint a dinosaur!! You’re doing a great job so far, but need to thin those paints!!!

With the T-Rex and I-Rex I was building off of the original colors and so really thin paint was easy. But for this one, it was the first one where I was drastically changing the original color so it needed more paint and I guess I was impatient and didn't thin it as much lol. It looked great for a few weeks but when it came time to film it outside it had become flakey :(
