@@albanianadventures2840 My Scratch was super bad, I ended up getting different grades of wet sand paper and then buffing the glass with finishing compound. (That worked)

What do you think, since the sun-protective coating is erased, is it necessary to perform the same operation with another lens so that there is no difference in the image of the picture when the 360 is shot?

If you have GoPro+ they will replace it no questions asked. Sometimes they will charge a fee of around $100, but I’ve had three replaced and they haven’t charged me yet. The only down side is that it take about a month to get the replacement camera.

What do you mean sometimes? Can you please explain how you went about this? I have GoPro plus but when I looked it up it said it’s $99 for a replacement.

@@JPTulo I guess it is up to them to wave it if they want. They’ve waved it for me 3 times. I am a heavy user… maybe that is why?

Polywatch diamond, you can buy it on the Amazon. I will upload video on the you tube with my results ass well. Wish me luck 😜

@@martinkavnis I asked GoPro for replacement and got it for free, normally u have to pay replacement fee (for GoPro Max it's 99$). I tried this polishing solution but results wasn't good, first thing you will lost layer of UV protective filter on the lens, when you start polishing u may remove some of the scratches but the medium one will stay anyway. I had less problem with picture quality on the scratched lens before applying this solution, first try to clean it with alcohol. I do not recommend this solution or any like this one because while polishing u removing UV protective filter as well which results in direct sun condition as ugly sun shafts.

Patrox92 That’s strange as GoPro official webpage tells that GoPro Max lenses can’t be replaced. At you sure you mean that camera model ?

The only problem is that method removes the "anti hillation" layer coated on the lens

Doing this made the image blurry on my gopro, it is better to replace the lens.

@@Patrox92 I used this and it completely removed the scratches - But unfortunately it removed the UV coating on the lens as well 🤦🏻
