Что тут выдающегося ? Расклеивали шкворень сверху, и прогнали сквозь горячую балку, наверняка посадили ее. Втулки не осадили шариком, развёрткой не прошли. В общем плохо.

Now here's a man that knows what he is doing. He's definitely done this a time or two. Ha. Ha. Reminds me growing up in the late 60s and 70s. My father owned a three bay gas station. I learned how to drive and work on cars knee high to a grasshopper.!!!!!!!! I remember watching my father taking carburetors apart especially the bigger 4 barrel one. My God there's so many screws, pins, springs, connector rods, and ball bearings. Never once stopping or even breathing.!!!! Put it all into a basket for chemical cleaning. Then reassemble it with a rebuild kit. Never look at a manual, so to speak. Amazing just like this guy

Master auto tech 45 years (retired) I like how everyone respects/praises these mechanics. Unfortunately, they get paid s--t, the drivers get paid more, been this way for decades until recently, that's why there's nobody left!

Несколько лет назад, я на грузовой газеле попал.....Ехал домой ,пустой уже ...Км 150 от дома задний мост вышел из строя ( обломился корпус моста ,сразу после ресоры правой ...колесная пара вышла наружу и полуось вышла из редуктора моста....скорость небольшая ...ехал на под,ем...сразу остановился к обочине....Пришлось ночевать...Потом вызвал знакомого эвакуаторщика ...погрузили привезли домой.Меняли корпус моста... ..

The torch is sometimes needed, but it should not really be your first choice. It can change the metallurgical properties of the pieces that you don't change. The original heat-treatment can become compromised. But most people that do this stuff haven't been to a serious school that teaches the physics behind what's been engineered into these assemblies. It's typically school of hard knocks & monkey see/monkey do. So don't be so impressed with this repair. Yes they work hard; they look very industrious; & they get it back in service, but they could have done it better if they understood more about being a seriously trained mechanic/repair technician.

That kind of work is rough, but when you know what you're doing and have the tools, it can be done. I never became a mechanic because I hate to get dirty but I never became a surgeon either, so I lost out both ways. My hat off to these guys.

It's not about being dirty or clean it's about liking what u do. I don't like the cold weather or dirt either but I do like puzzles and I like figuring stuff out. Honestly as a transmission mechanic it's pretty fun everyday something different and it keeps ur brain sharp like the knowledge and understanding I now have compared to my younger days it's crazy. This kind of trade really does improve ur ability to think. And stuff just clicks when like for example when u look at a computer and u click on the search bar start typing ND stuff pops up. That's the same thing I get when I disassemble and reassemble a transmission or just thinking in general it's one click away to figuring it out, and as peaches come off and go on its all just clicking to me

Yep, had a kid ask me for a quote to replace his cv axle. After the quote he was offended because he said it only took some guy 10 minutes on KZbin to do the job. I laughed and now say "it only takes xx minutes on KZbin to do the job" when people ask me how long. Classic

Они профессионалы, но допустили серьёзную ошибку при демонтаже сапфы, точнее когда выбивали шкворню. Шкворню нужно вбивать так , чтобы опора стояла непосредственно рядом откуда выходит шкворня и должна быть жёсткая опора, а не гидравлический домкрат, который амортизирует удары.

Шкворень - он, а не она, Цапфа, а не сапфа. И в данном случае - поворотный кулак, Цапфа это та часть кулака, на которую подшипники устанавливаются.

Ошибку допустил тупой водила,не мазал шкворня,уверен второй такой же,поэтому он и заржавел настолько,что сняли только при помощи горелки,при этом посадочное место в балке под шкворен однозначно прослабло.....Папуасы,одно слово....

..."топорная работа"! 😥 Подшипник накрыли позже, втулки без оправки долбил и.т.д. Да, на практике так в основном делается, но применяется приспособия для конкретного дела. Шкворень мягок- кувалдой расплющить что два пальца обосать...Там отверстия для смазки шкворня есть вообще в цапфе? 🤔 Кажись на пару месяцев и буде как в начале.🤣

For longevity you want to make sure there's little pieces of dirt in the bearings, that way when it gets into the bearing and starts scoring a groove seating the bearing 👍

I don't think the dirt is an issue tbh, I assume they would have inspected the bearings for contamination, but I suppose blasting them with a cleaning spray before packing the grease would be good practice.

that would only really apply if it was a brand new lorry and even then king pins very often wear at different rates as the kerbside one gets a lot more abuse as the road is generally always rougher than the centre of the road so it gets a lot more stick..

Please before I even say it I m not trying to disrespectful in the slightest. I've been a licensed mechanic up in Canada for almost 30 years but there are several things I remembered from going to trade school ( to earn my license) and one of them was not to heat front end parts but I also know that here in the real world sometimes you have to do what you have to. They go by the book and sometimes it takes something not from the book to get it done. Ty for putting this video up. 👍🇨🇦
