I agree. Super interesting how much work goes into such a small area of minimal damage. A ton of effort to do the job right and that’s probably why there is so much crappy bodywork in the world. Awesome job Robby 🤙🏻 More please.

I really enjoy the effort you put into your work! I have been around a lot of shops and seen different peoples work and by seeing you put plastic over the whole vehicle so there's no chance of over spray just shows how much you care. Yeah it's something very simple and yes it should be done all the time but it doesn't. Much respect!

Speaking of masking....Back in 1995 I had ordered a brand new S10, my first ever brand new vehicle. The transporter company had dropped it from the car carrier and smashed the left side of the cargo box on the top and side. The Chevy dealership's body shop had tried to hide it with bondo and made excuses as to why I could not come get my brand new pickup because they were stalling for time as they were covering up the damage. Then suddenly they wanted me to come out at night time after closing hours to take delivery of it, knowing that the damage was not so obviously seen at night. When I got the truck home and pulled it into my garage, I found painted masking tape under the fuel filler door over the gas cap, tape and some masking paper between the cargo box and the cab and under the left rear wheel well and lots of over spray all over the truck's windows and hood and underside/frame. I had removed the left rear tail light assembly looking into the space between the bed and outer sheet metal and saw a 2" deep by 28" long dent along the top edge that was hammered back out, all of the undercoating and paint was chipped off underneath from the hammering and I saw the deep dents were all filled in with bondo. I was super pissed. The dealership tried to stick me with the truck, would not take it back the next day or order me a new one. They said it was between me and Chevrolet. I took the truck back and left the keys. My state says that I had three days to return the truck and make them take it back on the morning of day three. They refused to take it back, so I had went to the bank later that day and put a stop payment on the check, which was for 3/4 of the cost. I made them eat it but after a lot of grief and threats of legal action. My first new car buy experience, which should have been a joyful proud experience was completely ruined.

@@joefudd well look at it this way, at least you got the real treatment,I mean the trus treatment of really what all you all that go and purchase these brand new vehicles ,it's a rip off for all ,not just you. I've known for year's that as soon as you drive off of the lot your brand new vehicle has depreciated by $2000 and that's not one that has a pound of bondo on it . I would never buy a brand new vehicle even if I had more than enough money to pay cash. Worst investment ever . Now that being said, Im not sure what happened at the end ,did you get your money back,or did you have to keep the truck. It's not clear who was making the threats. I wouldn't put it past the dealership to do so.

How about a video on reclear coating a older vehicle that the clear is failing (hint, hint, like my 99 Suburban). Mine is in good shape other than that clear coat on the hood and roof. Love to know how to fix it without complete repaint. Really enjoy seeing your work. Thanks for the videos.

A few weeks back I asked to have some of the collision work mixed back into the video rotation, so I am very happy. To think the number of days you held the vehicle for a four inch problem really says something. Wish I could have read the mind of the customer when you passed on that detail. And you certainly are lucky to be in Ephraim where land can be found in large chunks so you can house a large flotilla of vehicles "in progress".

These type videos are just as entertaining and informative as the build or rescue type videos. I have a small dent and a scratch in my truck that I have thought about having a shop fix and have wondered what it takes to repair those correctly. There is a definite art and skill to bodywork and paint that I’m sure takes loads of talent and experience to master, and the confidence to repair and repaint a nearly $100,000 brand new vehicle. May not be a popular opinion, but would enjoy seeing more of these type repair videos.
