Mark looks good and stronger. You could cut out some of the plywood, lightning holes, if you’re worried about a few extra grams. Jeff in LA USA

Cutting out the surplus ply is such an obvious option I never even thought of it 😊. That being said I think I'll leave it as it is I don't think the extra 25gms will make that much difference.

Mark, it's not going to make much difference in strength now you have fitted the ply doublers, but for the sake of symmetry if nothing else, you're missing a diagonal under the starboard rear window.
