As usual, another great video! My 2yr old doesn’t want to go to bed until we watch at least 10-15 min of one of your videos lol. We always love them.

Was able to get my Bosch hammer up and running on site thanks to watching so many of these! Very cathartic to behold and love how each repair is it's own little random generated puzzle to solve. Keep em coming brother, cheers from Colorado!

I'm not sure that gearbox was so carefully greased at the factory, the way you reassemble these things is guaranteed to extend service life well beyond what's normally expected.

I always enjoy one of your battery powered Dewalt repairs. They are a lot less popular in NL so we don't get them in too often at our workshop and these vids do help for a quicker diagnosting if we ever get one in, thanks again!

Well Dean love the videos, I was waiting for a dewalt with this problem, I have the same fault, just priced it up for parts £100 . Can't believe the grease is £ 66 , keep making the videos, I love them.
@deandohertygreaser10 күн бұрын
You don't have to spend that on the grease. Any lithium gear grease will also work. And is a lot cheaper.

Are DeWalt typically taking months to supply parts? It seems that Makita have the better parts stock in local areas.
@deandohertygreaser11 күн бұрын
To be honest, non of them are very fast at the moment. Some parts will arrive next day, other take months. More often than not, they take months now.

@@deandohertygreaser is that a problem with so much manufacturing in China?
@interdiction211 күн бұрын
I presume that's a sintered metal gear and is therefore softer than the shaft, hence the wear but, why on the 'reverse' setting? I would've thought the clockwise side would cause more wear, or am I looking at it the wrong way round?
@deandohertygreaser11 күн бұрын
The gear is locked between the bearing and the meshing bevel drive gear. It's the toolholder and hammer pipe itself moving in and out. When you pull the drill out of a hole the hammer pipe is moving away from the gear slightly causing it to eventually slip.
@interdiction211 күн бұрын
@@deandohertygreaser Ah, thank you for the explanation.

This has to be the worst cordless SDS drill in history. They are featured on this channel every single week. I maybe saw a cordless makita or bosch SDS only once or twice here.
@MrArcticPOWER10 күн бұрын
You're confusing it with the smaller DCH273. This one is a pretty good machine. But how many broken GSH 5 or 11 did you see on this channel? Are they the worst corded SDS drill in history?
@zaxmaxlax10 күн бұрын
@@MrArcticPOWERYeah, I tought it was the 18v one. To bosch credit, most GSHs that come in for repair are 10yo and plus.
