I just chopped off my heat damage hair instead of trying to repair and maintain it. My hair looks and feels so much better, had to cut off 3-5 inches of hair. It’s ok, I know it will grow back.

Sorry to hear about your heat damage. I stupidly allowed a stylist to talk me into blow drying my hair before braiding. Even more dumb because I didn't say anything when I thought the blow dry heat was too high. Sigh - and I paid the price for it. You are right though - hair grows abundantly (only second to skin cells). It will grow back. And always, health over length always. I got rid of another inch this morning. I now just need to go to a professional to have it evened out. It will grow back, yours and mine. It always does :)

Hey you, welcome back! I love your Ayurveda videos. What is your porosity, because if it is low porosity you need to do less of strengthening protein treatments. Protein treatments if done too often can damage your hair if it is low porosity.
@duchessgabrielle3 жыл бұрын
Yes, agree on protein. It can do more harm than good when used incorrectly. I used hard protein like aphogee once or twice a year. The idea is to repair structural damage from heat trauma and mechanical manipulation. Last time I did this treatment was well over two years. I won't be using it again for at least 6 months but it's definitely part of my sustenance products. I have comment here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJyzhGCheZqHorM explaining more detail how and why I use this.
