Repairing My Drift Car after Big Crash!

On my Drifting Across America Tour I got in a big crash in my drift car and am now repairing it so we can get back on the track!!! Both front corners were hit damaging the front bash bar, front bumper, coilovers, brake line, front lower control arms, and more.

Is it okay to make the steering rack spacers with metal tubing? I think a strip of rubber would be better to grip the rack in place.

Nismo do make them for R32, R33 & R34 . They also provide full restoration but it won't be cheap
