I fixed my Drift Cars biggest mechanical problem!

We built my drift car, a Nissan Skyline R34, a couple years ago and have been fixing small issues that the fabrication shop caused since the first drifting day, but this mechanical problem is the biggest one we have fixed yet! My throwout bearing for the quad disc clutch was measured wrong and I was driving with my clutch pedal depressed causing extreme clutch heat and wear and never putting all the horsepower to the rear wheels!

Absolutely keep some behind the scenes! You have a lot of cool unique challenges that are fun to see, and there are a lot of channels out there that built success by wrenching on cars. I wouldn't overdo it though. Like you pointed out, filming makes it take longer. Going through technical root-causing off-camera and sharing the result (like you did here) works well. Slowing yourself down and adding more stress by filming during those situations is likely counterproductive.

Showing the behind the scene struggles and reactions makes the channel more legit, I think. It also brings a more relatable side since a lot of us has also struggle with our own builts. Especially when the DIY KZbin video says that it should take about a hour or so, but here I am, 4 hours later, thinking about my life choices lol!!!

I really like the behind the scenes bits including the struggles. It’s a more honest and transparent look into the reality of things. In some aspects it’s relatable plus it’s how some of us as viewers learn things. Also, the struggles add to the story. Someone winning because they win all the time and things “appear” easy just isn’t as interesting as going through the ups and downs. The frustrating stuff isn't fun, but its super informative, and seeing all the technical mechanical side of things is suuuuper helpful for those of us who are looking to get into the sport. Seeing what could go wrong, seeing how you do things, seeing you be able to pull out a trans and put it back together in a day, it's great, it sucks, but its great.

But this is better than Japan I think because you’re having fun and just doing race car things with a familiar car vs in Japan you weren’t having fun and didn’t have a car you were familiar with so your racing performance suffered and that obviously sucks because it’s your lifestyle, job, content for us, etc. keep up the good work!
