Repairing the C4 Corvette Floppy Ear Hatch Weatherstripping Problem

In today's video, I'll be working with the rear hatch weatherstripping on the low mileage 1996 Competition Yellow LT4 here in the ‪@VetteSource‬ fleet. I will show how the weatherstripping is made and attached to the body of the car, and perform a temporary repair that can be performed once it starts coming apart in the corners and allowing water to leak into the car.

Hey Jim, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad KZbin has given me an avenue to share this information with the rest of my fellow Corvette gearheads. Mitch does a great job detailing some of the more difficult bodywork and building involved with the early Corvettes. Hey Mako, I'm with you. Even though the see-through top is a cool way to see the stars while causing the countryside at night, it will roast your head in the summertime. That's why this one has pretty much lived its entirely life stored in the back of the car😁.
