We wash the frequency converter with an ultrasonic cleaner and then dry it in an oven. It's cleaner. You can buy one.

Another excellent video as usual, that resistor certainly did a number on the case. Just one question: Why do you keep turning your meter off ?. My meter gets turned on when i sit at the bench in the morning & turned off at the end of the day.

how you could get an output of the U,V and W phases without connecting a load ?

The IGBT or transistor outputs to U, V, W are configured as totem pole outputs. So when the drive is running, the U V W outputs will be pulled up to +Bus (in this case +300VDC). And pulled down to Bus Ground (0VDC).

Usually not thought of though, I actually am connecting a load to the U, V W terminals. That load is my digital multi-meter or Fluke oscilloscope. Thank you very much for stopping by. I hope that you are having a good day.
