In this video, we are simply matching an unusual texture, which I called the "Planters peanut texture" in weather that was kinda chilly. At the end, it shows the final texture.
What's your opinion on what this texture is?

Man, Kirk Giordano truly is the KOP(King of Plaster), I just learned a different technique. I learned to use a sponge float to achieve similar textures from watching Kirk all these years but I’ll save this one on the memory bank👍🏽.

Howdy Cree, in the film it looked okay, in reality, it was a screw-up, the blobs should have set immediately, so I could have just run a wet float above the top and the water would have done the rest. However when it's so cold and we don't account for it with adding a lot more accelerators, it's slow going. The fact is we always get it done, Cheers and happy holidays.

Well done Kirk!! I have to say, when you first started slinging goobers on the wall I was sure the finish wasn't going to match, but after you bought out the paintbrush and went to work, I was amazed. As always, well done!

The weather was too cold plus the amount of accelerators added was not enough to set this stucco. I was forced to mess around and kill time with the brush while the stucco set. If we had anticipated the cold and accelerator, I would have just used a sponge float and let the water run down the new stucco. But plastering is all about improvising, Happy Holoidays

Yeah, that weather with a breeze is rough. I went and bought me a massive windbreaker last year to combat the cold penetration into my soul. 🥶 absolutely appreciate you hooking it up with this odd ass texture. Happy New Years Kirk, and the family. I'm building a new house and lath is complete. The stucco company said that when they come back to start with the scratch coat, they might bring a guy with a pump. It's 6670 sq ft under the roof. They said with this big of a house it would be faster. What are your thoughts ?

Hi Chris, Pumps have their benefits that does indeed allow faster plastering. I owned one for over ten years. He needs at least ten guys and lots of covering. I have videos working behind a pump.

Hey Kirk, I’m new to the Bay Area coming from south Florida and as you can imagine we have a few different textures here that I have never seen before. I’m doing a small repair around a newly added sliding glass door and wanted to know if you could tell me how they achieved the texture. To me it looks almost like it’s not in the stucco but an aggregate in the paint. It has a very heavy aggregate float finish almost like a pebble dash but not near as busy. My question I guess is do they add aggregate to paint here? Or is there a material I need to buy specifically? I hope you can help me and I can send a picture to you if you need.
