Reparenting Myself

I've been on my own reparenting journey for over a year now. It's a lot of work, but it's healing to know that I can be the adult I needed as a kid. Sometimes it feels like reaching across time not to change the past but to provide comfort to that traumatized kid who takes the wheel more often than they need to. I wish you lots of good on your own journey!

I love your videos, you are state things in such a thoughtful way. I hope im not overstepping to say you remind me so much of myself and lately im discovering that i am neurodiverse. It may give you many answers about the loud noises, overstimulation, and sleel issues to research this. Also reparenting reminds me of unmasking in adhd and autism, basically letting that childhood joy come through in any way that makes you happy. ❤❤❤

Been doing the same over the past year. It’s not easy but it’s definitely worth it. Sometimes it’s hard not to look back at the past or blame family members for not doing things which seem SO obvious to myself now, but it’s not possible to change the past, I can only change my future by working on my present. This is so lovely. I had a reasonably good childhood and I'm doing a lot of the same work-- as you said, we may all have some level of trauma When one person heals, it creates these ripples of love and health around them. I'm so encouraged by those of us who are doing this work
