In X3, it was much more complex to build a self-powered station, I mean even the solar power plants needed damned crystals which, in turn, silicon, food and energy cells. The food also needed energy cells argon meat and Wheat each of which also needed energy cells. And all this to make only energy cells autonomous. The best was for silicon you needed a mine. And in X4 (do not misunderstand I love X4 and its station building), solar power plants are money printing machines because they do not need anything. Oh yes, I remember how many times I closed the game out of anger because my plan did not work :).

Terrans in some form will likely be in DLC if not by default. Earth is confirned not being part in vanilla but there could be something like DeVries like it was in XR. X3TC is the most known X game in the mainstream. Egosoft would be crazy not to capitalize on that.

The only reason X3 is so underrated is because of its complexity. Most modern games are DUMBED DOWN for society so they aren't used to something glorious as this.

for some reason this reminds me of a battle over earth i had, (i lost :( ) my flag ship taking a beating fighters buzzing all around watching my corvets and friggets blowing up leaving behind wreckage, then me decideing fuck it and ramming turros! :) was such a good battle i wil one day take out earth 20 phenoixes would do it i think

I kinda like the in-game version as a sort of "toned down" more subtle version of this. Kind of like in star wars where the imperial march plays quietly in the background of a scene rather than it being the centre of attention
