Repentance CHAMPION Bosses! [Part 2/2] (Mod)

The Repentance DLC for The Binding of Isaac added tons of new bosses, but not a single one of them has a champion variant like the vanilla bosses do. This changes now with the "Repentance Boss Champions" Mod by jubbalub, sipher_nil, Blind, the Bound Demon, Warhamm2000, retro100 and Moonshine! It adds a total of 36 Champion forms to the DLC's Bosses which I will showcase in a 2 part video series! (This is part 2)

2:13 for those who played Antibirth mod (or not), Siren had an attack that she shots curving musical notes that travel in hexagonal directions. Sadly this attack got removed in Repentance This attack from Purple Siren might be an resemble of her music note attack

That's because the confusion status effect (on Isaac, not the enemies) was removed as a whole. This is why the Echo Bats from Antibirth were also scrapped.

I really appreciate that this mod always clearly indicates when Brimstone is coming. A lot of Isaac stuff doesn't do that meaning it's easy to get caught out by it before you've learned the boss's patterns.

The Corpse bosses also. The reasoning was that they are seen so rarely anyway so it wasn't worth it for them to do corpse yet. YOu only fight them once a run compared to 2 on the other chapters.

This mod is well made, however one aspect really makes it not fun to use for me - the difficulty. Champion bosses in vanilla usually don’t change the boss too much. Simpler champions like Monstro can’t leap and more complex ones like Death have slightly altered attacks. The bosses is repentance are much harder and have much less room for error, so say making a Repentance boss leave creep or shoot extra projectiles makes said boss almost impossible. Imo, well made mod, but too difficult and unfair to be fun.

But consider: maybe champions should change more than they already do? Right now, champions are basically *[boss] with slightly more health and shoots an extra projectile sometimes.* That being said, yeah the balance does seem a bit rough. And good lord doesn't Isaac need balance changes.
