I have been rejected for saying that God never mentions voting in the Bible so we are free to choose whether or not to vote. When both parties are in rebellion against God while invoking His name to support their own agenda. No one can give me clear scripture that commands us to vote for our leaders. We are going down as a country, no one can stop it because the heart of the people are wicked. When "Christians" will not stand for the principles of Christ on marriage and divorce they will throw away any part of the Bible they don't like and misuse most of it that they want to believe.

This sermon is sort of a Second book of Amos... For three transgressions of America and for four I will not revoke its punishment!!! Each man must become a Noah to his family in times like these. Praying that many righteous men make it to the other side where God willing, we start anew. But this time, we build more in accord with God's revealed will.

I like the comment, but do not understand the “again” and “anew” we should not be shocked that this is happening, it is written for us to be aware and know the seasons/times that we are in. We are not promised this world. We are promised a kingdom that the Father’s Son will be bringing in tow with him shortly after his return to root out the wicked and level a place for His kingdom to come down. That’s what I am looking for! And in the mean time share the truths of His kingdom just as Jesus did. Also do a word study on the word righteous, it’s only the righteous that will inherit the kingdom. Righteous people honor the Father’s law. Revelation 22:14

@@Tracy-Inches I agree. Amen to that! Kingdoms come and kingdoms go - this happens so often it was compressed into a proverb (27:23f). That is what I mean by "anew" and "again." We don't know God's timetable. He may want billions saved and not millions, so He may delay another 1000 years. Thus, we should keep oil in our lamps. The children are counting on their parents to give them something like what their parents gave them. They only ask for bread, but we are handing them a snake! What I received was more than just hope. We must not get caught sitting on our talent waiting for the eternal state. All of these thoughts come from Scripture. Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, Proverbs 27:23-27 Know well the condition of your flocks, And pay attention to your herds; 24 For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations. 25 When the grass disappears, the new growth is seen, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in, 26 The lambs will be for your clothing, And the goats will bring the price of a field, 27 And there will be goats' milk enough for your food, For the food of your household, And sustenance for your maidens. Matthew 7:9-10 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? Matthew 25:13 "Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour. Matthew 25:24-30 "And the one also who had received the one talent came up and said, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered no seed. 25 'And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.' 26 "But his master answered and said to him, 'You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. 27 'Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. 28 'Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.' 29 "For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. 30 "Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 🙂

Well said, Pastor! So many cannot see through the 3-ring WWE clown show that is our national government. The Father’s laws, commandments, and statutes are the last thing on their minds. There is a prideful smile on the face and blood on the hands. True repentance is needed.

I believe we should preach faith and repentance with a view and a hope for persons to be saved and enter Heaven. If enough persons do get saved the nation (s) will or should enjoy greater peace and prosperity. If they do or if they don't we should still preach to actual persons that they should enjoy the personal benefit of salvation and the blessing of an eternal family ... of God in the Messiah Jesus.

20 years ago I thought I had found one here where I live. It was an 'Independent Fundamentalist Baptist" ... "church". 2 years of it and the worst experience of my life. Please BE CAREFUL.

I do have a question. At what point can we vote and are they considered good enough when all man and its systems are fallen and bankrupt? I am genuinely wanting know cause this is hard for me to figure out. For example, can my end goal be to abolish the murder of children and to abolish the sinful practice of sodomy, yet still be able to take some of the victories to have a more fertile environment for future fights. It’s just tough trying to balance the ideal with what is realistic and prudent. I know there is compromise and situational ethics, but there are some levels of being realistic and prudent too and allowing greater evils to prevail in play. I’m torn. Any guidance appreciated.

Legit things to struggle with and good questions. To answer - we are not talking about what makes one good enough to vote for but what disqualifies them. And openly defying and impugning the law of God by embracing murder and sodomy - two national sins that destroy nations - should be a disqualification. Our duty is to call the magistrates to repentance when they do wrong. If they know you will vote for them anyway (as the lesser of two evils) - they will never change. Also - your comment “For example, can my end goal be to abolish the murder of children and to abolish the sinful practice of sodomy, yet still be able to take some of the victories to have a more fertile environment for future fights?” Voting for the lesser of two evils never does make for a more fertile environment (I have witnessed this first hand over my 63 years) because as evil is accommodated the whole nation is taken further down the trajectory of evil and decadence. We must speak and stand against the evil. My brief short thoughts - hope they are helpful. May Christ be praised.

Thank you for your thoughtful and quick response. I appreciate it. I will have to think and pray about it. This may be a poor analogy but sometimes I liken it to two people possibly going to be killed and I have the option to step in and make a difference by taking out the killer so that only one is killed. This is probably not stated well, but in doing endorse any of it, it’s a tragedy, but wouldn’t it be more of a tragedy to allow a greater degree of God’s law to be impugned. I still think that during all of this we should still fight the good fight and call all of those to repentance and potentially be the men who get in the political arena. I could be wrong, but maybe it doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive or an “either or.” By the way, I respect you a lot and have evolved much on my positions because of your influence and I may change on this but I’m just trying to understand the different positions. Thank you sir.
