What a lovely video to light up my Friday night. It reminds me of a saying uttered by one of my mates regularly - 'Aren't birds wonderful?' And these pictures capture that feeling perfectly. I also like one of your quotes:- 'Do what you like'. It is really important that we enjoy our photography and that mantra is a good one. However if we share images in a public domain it is all too easy to do what others like. We should stick to our instinct and roll with the punches from those who dislike our work. Keep on doing 'What you like'. Thanks for sharing.

Man, you are so chilled when you're talking about birds, it's obviously good for you. I wonder how many marriages have been saved over lockdown by the husband sitting in a wee tent in the back garden. :-) Great shots and you're right about critique being useful, but ultimately its whether you like it or not, not what the camera club, the followers or Joe Public think.

I don't know much about bird photography and haven't done a great deal of it. I think I'll have to give it another try. Thanks for the video Gary.

Nice episode, it definitely pays to take lots of shots as the little birds move so quick and don’t stay still very long at all. It is quite surprising what colour starlings actually are, and the whiskers on blackbirds are fascinating. Lovely photos and nice advice. Thanks.

nice one Gary, as you say you take loads of shots. I have taken over a thousand shots and only got 3 or 4 shots out of them that I really like.

Thanks for another informative video Gary. Is bird photography in the garden going to spread to the outside world when the locks come off and you are able to get out, or will it all be forgotten in favour of landscape photography? Do you do much birds in flight photography?
