shold the air flow be blasting against the compressor or be blown out the radiator coil parT?

Jim you have my sympathy I used to teach kids right out of high school and they had all the answers too! We can only make suggestions and hope they listen before something bad happens.
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
Larry Cole exactly, Sam is pretty good though, I found that if I made a slight suggestion it gets him thinking about it, it's when we go full onslaught they shut off, a quick small suggestion works best. Wow you taught high school kids, how did you do it, I wouldn't last a week, I have trouble with my indian customers. thanks

No I taught kids that were right out of high school 18, 19 and 20 year Olds at Universal Technical Institute (UTI). It was a lot of fun and challenging at the same time.

@MaheshPatel-nk9fg9 жыл бұрын
Jim how do you remove the compressor and condenser unit out from under the cooler? I think this is neat. I was thinking of removing the fan and blowing the coil from inside. What is your opinion Jim.?
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
Mahesh Patel there's usually a couple screw/bolts with a 3/8" hex head in the front on the base. blowing the dust from the inside would work fine, the dust will come out from either direction, removing the fan motor would just be extra work, unless there was grease in it then foam and pressure from both directions would be good if necessary.

Just a suggestion...if you put a wet towel in front of the condensor and blow the CO2 from the back of the condensor before you put in the new motor you will catch all of the dirt or dust on the towel and avoid a dust cloud. Also a face mask might be helpful. Otherwise...good job

@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
Dwight Bennett right, I don't care about the bananas, they will be gone in a week, my focus is on lowering the head pressure for the next year, I wanted to help the compressor live an easier life.

Hi Jim I have a question, the condenser fan motor on our vending machine recently went out. I found a replacement motor on ebay, installed it and works good again. Since then I have found some electric motors even cheaper on Amazon and have considered buying 2-3 extras in case this happens again. One of the motors is $15 (UEi brand): www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPZXQ2A?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER The other is $30 (Packard): www.amazon.com/Packard-65411-Inc-Motor/dp/B00DM8MCTY I'm tempted to buy several of the $15 motors but the deal seems too good to be true. Almost every other brand that makes the motor I need is around $30-$40. Is UEi a good brand? Or is it junk? Thanks in advance
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
firewall5000 it's probably OK, is it made in China, my first choice would be an Emerson motor from my Copeland distributor. thanks

Cleaned a subway sandwich shop condenser (sandwich table) had a cloud of dust just as big, These condensers hold so much dirt and never get cleaned 'til the equipment stops working.
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
daniel343ful exactly, a vaccum cleaner doesn't get the dust out of the fins like CO2 pressure does, thanks
@WTFChuk7 жыл бұрын
I use a vacuum on one side and blow CO2 in the other right at the vacuum hose inlet. The CO2 blasts the crud out and the vacuum sucks it up so it doesn't make a biohazard cloud. I'm too old to be filling my lungs with who-knows-what.

Man I just replaced a compressor just like that .. but I know what you mean about the screws coming loose because of the vibration I had to replace a blade once because the shaft damaged the fan blade. I will post a photo of that in the morning .. But on the other hand motors are cheaper in Ohio. A motor like that is like 50 bucks
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
