NOTE: THE BLADE I BOUGHT SEPARATED FROM THE HUB. Hence, the suck. So, here you have it.
The firebrick was broken in pieces. Time to replace with new! I had to cut some down to size. We go through a cheap then good blade for that.

The worst of many worst-est parts was fiddling with the saw blade, trying to tighten it, while the saw was still plugged in. Holy smoly. Glad you survived.

Omg! I thought I was an amateur...that's why I started watching this but my safety concerns make me feel like a professional. A few precautions and a jig of some sorts would have saved you a lot of headache...or a leg.

I put a 10" concrete blade in my table saw. Used a fence, and spray bottle of water. Perfect every time.

George, you're a great sport for putting up with all the "constructive criticism." Thanks for the video. I now know that cutting firebricks with a circular saw (or an angle grinder cut-off wheel) can be done without shattering them. Gotta admit though.... these comments had me laughin pretty hard. Thanks for the video.

Getting it done.. Your video gives me a lot more confidence to post the 100s I've made buy haven't posted for multiple reasons... bad angles, lighting, foul language, other bone head remarks, etc.. Anyway Thank you! Keep doing you! But please be a little more care for future projects...c- clamps and hand spring grips and a lot cheaper the cost of your new blade and the hospital visit... go to Harbor Freight for those items! Under $10 for some and under $20 for most of the rest.... I literally have over 60 different kinds of clamps or hold downs when using my power tools.... I still have and plan on keeping all the digits God gave me. Good luck!

Lopi Freedom Bay? I should have cut spare 'smalls' the first time I re-bricked it. My biggest issue is the T bar degrading over time. Wish I knew a way to help prevent it.

The use of C-clamps would facilitate the brick cutting task. My way of doing it. A whole lot easier that way to do straight line.

Clearly, the "friction" blade has the wrong size hole for the saw arbor. That "washer thingy" can be reversed to supply the correct sized bushing, no?
