My wife's 2021 Pacifica is not starting properly and I got the red brake light yesterday plus the start/stop system isn't working. I think I'm going to replace the aux battery before I replace the main battery. Thank you for the Amazon link. Pro tip, you could also just use two nuts and locked them together on the battery terminal studs if you dont have the e-torx.

Can my auxiliary battery drain a new main battery I replaced my main battery a few days ago but not the auxiliary they both were the original ones when I got the car it’s a 2020 and I got it about 2 years ago I did once have to take it to the dealership for them to recharge it. When I replaced the main battery it started and everything came back on I didn’t drive one day and when I went out yesterday after it hadn’t been driven it was dead all the lights and nothing would come on I’m hoping I just have to change that battery and it’s nothing worse

@@decarlosperry5111 Thanks for watching, it’s possible and because of that…we recommend replacing your auxiliary battery. If that doesn’t solve issue, then you have a parasitic draw on your electrical system. That’s just a fancy way of saying that something is constantly draining your battery when your engine is off. @@DIYwithMichaelBorders I changed it yesterday and the car started right up with no problems or needing a jump now I haven’t been out today to start it because with my rotator cuffs injuries my shoulders, fingers and wrists are hurting to the point I can’t move them I don’t see how I’m in this much pain from the small battery when I didn’t have this problem with the main one

@@decarlosperry5111 Interesting…🤔…thanks for the update. Is there any flapping sounds coming from inside dash after you shut engine off? The reason we ask is because if so…that could mean that your recirculation actuator is faulty and constantly draining your battery when the engine is off.

Hi Michael How much auxiliary battery costs? I change my main battery twice with triple A They never advise me to change the auxiliary battery! Also dealership asked me to change both batteries with total cost 1200 dollars Please advise Thank you for nice video education

@@milandesai6721 Good morning ☕️ Price will depend on if the battery is OEM or aftermarket. Long story short, we recommend OEM Mopar brand however they can be pricey. We have shared a few links below on aftermarket options just in case. We also have a few additional helpful videos you May links that you may find useful. We just replaced our main battery this week and the battery alone was $389.00….so $1,200 quote is too high for us to let them complete the job. The auxiliary battery is around $200….so they are tacking on a HUGE labor bonus…Yikes.
