Once again, Gene, you did a great job. I used white lattice about 15 years ago. My deck is only about 15 inches off the cement pad that's underneath the deck. The drawback with lattice is that I'm never really able to get the leaves that blow under there. You gave me a good idea by putting a hatch on the deck itself. To sink the answer to my problem was right underneath my feet. So it won't be obvious I'll put it right underneath the gas fire pit.

Hi Tim, I though about using lattice but I did not think it would hide enough. Thanks so much for watching.

Looks great, and the color contrast really makes it pop! I really enjoy your channel because you typically do projects that most DYI guys find ourselves having to tackle sooner or later and with common tools that we usually have. Just a suggestion, consider investing in a pair of knee pads. My knees hurt just watching you! They take a little getting used to, but you won't regret it.

Had never seen anyone use T111 for skirting before. No shocked that it hadn’t lasted…

@@DIYGene Guess that depends on your definition of "lasted", I'd have probably replaced it 5 years ago. Your cedar upgrade looks great!
