Replace the battery in an Audi key fob, new generation fob (2019).

Here we are going to replace the battery in an Audi key fob with a fresh one. The new fob is sleeker than previous versions and we first saw this in a 2019 Q8.
We'll need the tip of a very small screwdriver and a new CR-2032 battery.
Models covered include the Q8, Q7, A8, and A6.

My 2020 Q7 Said I needed to replace battery in key fob….I did…works fine, but message keeps coming on every time I start vehicle???

First, I would ask if the old one was truly fading. Would it start every time? Meaning the message might have been the problem all along. Otherwise give it a few days. If it stays, look for a way to turn it off in one of the menus (we don't have access to Audi manuals, so this is the best we can do)...

I did this but I’m still getting a low battery warning. Do I have to reset the key fob after replacing the battery?

No, not at all. Have you recently started carrying another fob as well? Something electrical is interfering with the signal and its evidently a recent change...
