Thanks for the useful video. I am planning to upgrade the disk of my HP EliteBook 840 G3 laptop. Would you please advise, which option should I go for M.2 SSD disk option? Shall I go for M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe Disk? Waiting for your reply. Please check and reply if M.2 NVMe disk is supported by HP EliteBook 840 G3 laptop.

Hi, even after reading the specs sheet I'm unable to understand 2 things. First, does it really support "PCIe- 3 x 4 NVMe" SSD? 2ndly I want to create a dual storage drive option in 840 g3, is it possible to install 1 NVMe and 1 some other SSD at the same time? A 256GB NVMe for OS + A 256GB SSD for other Data. I really want NVMe read/write speed and not that simple PCIe SSD (2 lanes for PCIe) or SATA SSD speed. Please help.

Samsung SSD should work but please use Device Manager to check its current brand and buy the SAME brand to make sure compatible.

You should have a boot usb or installation drive to install an os. Select Legacy or UEFI. Depends upon your os drive. Reorder boot drive in bios then press F9. Select m.2 ssd then it should boot or process installation asap.
