How do you remove the module from the steering column if it's stuck in the locked position? The screw is covered by the lock pin and I can't get to it.

😅u have to drill a hole where the screw it sit between the two blts holes

la conexion del motor esta soldada a la placa... no sale como lo has hecho de ninguna manera... primero desoldar y luego la puedes extraer. Tambien puedes quitar los cuatro pasadores y tendras acceso al motor.

Is it possible to disconnect the motor and have no steering lock

No there's a hall effect sensor in there that has to see movement. They do sell and emulator now and the main MCU chip has to be removed from your old ELV and resoldered to the emulator board along with the female pigtail from the old board and then you just plug it in play with the resistance on this screw until it's correct and then leave it alone.
