Very helpfull, thanks! For people doing this on a 2.0 TDI, no need to take out the battery tray. The starter comes out very easily from the bottom!

Excellent video! I have a 2010 with starter motor problems. Diesel. 197,000km Is that about what you have on yours Kevin? It's been -19.5 c here in Norway and I can't get it started. Battery seems a bit weak but I put a booster on it, 2000 amps and still it turns over really slow. Changed the glow plugs too. Don't know what else it could be than the starter. Could be a bad ground ...
