Replacing 2002 Lexus ES300 License Plate Lights

These instructions will be compatible with the following 4th Generation Lexus ES300 models:
2001 Lexus ES300
2002 Lexus ES300
2003 Lexus ES300
2004 Lexus ES300
2005 Lexus ES300
2006 Lexus ES300
This may work on some Toyota models.

This much too long video omits the two key points--removing the emergency handle and removing the old bulb. You don't need the special tool to remove the plastic keepers. Use a small flat screwdriver into the slots from the side and another screw driver as a fulcrum.

you can just remove one or two of those plastic clips right and then I was able to sneak a hand in there and twist off the lightbulb and pull it out

Just use led lights in place of the glass bulb they last forever

Never touch a light bulb with your fingers. The grease will reduce the life of the bulb.
