Sometimes I do get confused about clockwise and counterclockwise. The way to tell is if you holding the motor and facing the shaft. The rotaton of the shaft is either CW or CCW.

your amp is higher because you installed a fixed pully. if you had an adjustable pully you could have adjusted it to get your proper amps. that's why the old one was an adjustable. good video take care.

It is called Maintenance. The label says 10 yrs bearing life AND A SIMPLE REGREASE IN THE END Belle inside CAPS WOULD HAVE BEEN $50 OF LABOR AT THE SITE . But that would be too easy fgor a schedule to be made. Just chuck it philosophy. even so simple to scratch in the install date, month & yr so nice no one does- a mechanic's mystery again.

The amps should drop when you install the hood.

Yep, a lot people dont know this. You put less load on a motor attached to fan when you block some of the air intake or exhaust of the fan.

I must ask , Did You account for fan surge being there's no housing installed at the time of amperage reading ?

That belt you put on was a used belt. I can see in the video it has cracks in it. Once you install a new belt your amps will be higher. An adjustable sheave is good because you can adjust your amps accordingly. But the fixed sheave is better because it helps the belt live a longer life.

the old motor could have been unseized with a mallet and a LOT of wd40

always install an adjustable pulley because you can adjust speed and amps. you should not exceed 80% of rated amp draw, otherwise the motor life is reduced

that motor will burn out if its operating close to FLA.
