Replacing A Ball Joint (2011 Ford Escape) - Burnout Tutorials

If you don't have the ball joint press, just pay the 'convenience fee' for replacing the entire control arm😂 TRUST ME! I was able to get the old ball joint out, but getting the new one in was a PAIN. Desperation during 6 hours caused me to get creative. My local car part store charges $300+ for the press kit, but didn't have it in stock and didn't have one for rental. I ended up using a tool SIMILAR to the press where you crew one end to close/tighten, a hydrhaulic jack, and an aluminum chain link fence post cap😂😂😂 got the job done eventually, but I nearly cried a few times, plus it's 14⁰ here in Texas. I'll just replace the entire control arm on the passenger side. Lesson learned.
