Thank you so much for a flawless explainer of how to do this job. I think Bambu Lab should use it instead of their own, which is sadly lacking. Thanks again.

Great video - did you get a chance to record the next one about using just the hotend without using the Complete Hotend?
@vvtt18232 күн бұрын
Great video. When swapping back hotend. What do you do to clean the filament left inside of it?
@3DRevolution2 күн бұрын
No need, just leave the filament inside and it will be purged automatically when you next use it :)

@ just tried, it left some handovers around the tip. Had to remove them with knife. Perhaps there is a better way?

@@vvtt1823 When you say it left some 'handovers' what exactly do you mean?

Do you have a link where I can find the nozzle like in the video? I have the one without the fan on it. Thank you.
@3DRevolution7 ай бұрын
Hey there. You can get them directly from the Bambu Lab website. Here's a link below. Just select your region from the top right of the page to make sure you're buying from your local division of the Bambu store, select your Nozzle size, and make sure you have "Complete Hotend" selected, rather than 'Hotend with nozzle'. store.bambulab.com/collections/accessories/products/bambu-hotend-x1-series?variant=40204454101107

My new hotend didnt come with the cables to connect it? What do I do?
@3DRevolution9 ай бұрын
This video covers how to replace the full hot end assembly. What you've got there is just the nozzle and heat sync. Not a problem, it just takes a bit more work. I have a video on the way on how to do this but to help you now, you'll need to remove the fan, heat element and thermistor from your existing hot end, fit them to the new one along with a dab of thermal paste (that should have come with it) and then you should be good to go. This is great and cheap for replacing old worn out hot ends but not a quick fix for easily swapping between sizes
@pseudogravityy8 ай бұрын
I had this same problem, on the old nozzle, you can disconnect those wires and plug them into the new ones!

Did you notice the small 2 pin doesn't snap back in very firmly?
@3DRevolution7 ай бұрын
It won't necesarily clip in place, but it definitely shouldn't be loose. Are you finding yours is loose even once re-fitted?

I thought you were going to demonstrate the other option of just replacing the nozzle without the fan, too....

These bambu nozzles absolutely do not stand up to abrasives. I suppose they're more than happy to sell you 20-40$ replacement parts for life than put out ruby or diamond that would out perform hardened steel in every metric. First and last Bambu printer I ever buy if they don't change this.
@3DRevolution6 ай бұрын
To be fair, it's $35 but that includes the thermostat and fan, you can also buy it without them for $15. I'm surprised you are having such an issue with abrasives, are you using the haddened nozzles and not the stainless steel ones? I've put thousands of hours through these nozzles without a problem, and while that does include things like PLA, it also includes a range of abrasive materials.
@maxmueller9896 ай бұрын
Also a Ruby or Diamond nozzle is faaaar more expensiv and only suitable for a hand full of Materials
@john1182Ай бұрын
The 0.2 are not designed for filaments with adititives like glow in the dark ir carbon fiber. The fact the nozel is so small it clogs and bambu says the 0.2 is for miniatures I don't see the issue. Just but a $15 hardened nozel in 0.4 for everything else
