Replacing a broken Cyma MP5 Platinum Mosfet

Failed mosfet in Cyma platinum MP5. The trigger button failed. it has been replaced with a Kestrel V2 optical mosfet.

You can salvage the mosfet by resoldering a larger, more reliable microswitch onto them.

Had the same problem with my stock Cyma MP5 Platinum mosfet. Replaced it with a Gate Titan Mosfet. Recently happened again with a Cyma M4 Platinum... so it's a weak part... Will be replacing that one too... 😅

Same sort of microswitch i've had in a couple of mice i've used, they're weak as hell so probably not very good for standing up to airsofter abuse.

Hello mine I will play and it just stop I'm semi then I have to unplug then replug to make it shoot then it will stop ... any idea?

I recently purchased a Cyma CM041G MP5 and love its design, but I’m experiencing a frustrating issue. After firing about one magazine, the gun stops shooting. I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery to get it working again, and even then, it sometimes only fires a few more shots before stopping. It can restart on its own after 20 seconds or even up to 10 minutes. I’m using 11.1v 800mAh and 1000mAh batteries, and the problem occurs with both. Has anyone else faced this issue? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Common issue, mine went down after 2 years of constant single shot on cqb sites soo not to bad .

So Mosfet is fine, but the Micro Switch is broke? Better put a hard stop on the Trigger, that shoule solve the problem.

Hello everyone. I'm having the same issue with the microswitch, but I think I have the tools to save it. Can someone help me with creativity to make it do? Everything on the circuit is fine except that issue. So I would like to have some solution to that. I've lost that tiny platinum switch but I still got the plastic cover. May I "stick" or weld something into the plastic cover in order to make contact when I pull the trigger? Thanks a million btw!

@@shaun536 thanks! I bought a microswitch in order to replace the old one. I've tested and everything is allright. It was all about the old microswitch who was making bad contact. On this new microswitch, those three little contacts are a little bigger than the old ones. So I have to "unweld" it in order to remove that little excess, then weld it again and mount it! Just hoping to have some time to make things do lol Thanks once again!

There's a better, more permanent solution to ALL Cyma issues: just don't buy/use Cyma products at all! Fun fact: 'Cyma' is actually an acronym that stands for 'Crap Your Money Away'. 😂

Interesting opinion. I actually quite like CYMA as a brand. I have many in my personal collection and they all perform great. For all the ones I have taken apart and worked on they have been also good. It's only these Mosfets switches that I have seen to be an issue in some cases. 😎

@@adzzzysarmoury dude the fact that they even have these kind of issues in general (which are VERY common btw) is already indicative of their reliability/quality or lack thereof (definitely a lack thereof lol).

I have a few CYMA guns and never had a problem with them. I think the build quality is a lot better than some of the other brands around. I like them. Each to their own I guess. 😊👍 Great video adzzzys keep them coming
