Replacing A RV Toilet

Curious as to why they didn’t think it would fit? I’d like to change out my Thetford Aqua Magic V with a Donetic 310 and I have the clearance to the back wall.

I was told by an associate and the manager that the gasket (ring) would not fit. I was not sure why it would not fit so I inquired more about why. That’s when I was told that I would need an adapter to go from a Thetford to a Dometic. I left and went to another RV place to purchase the Dometic toilet and upon installation I found the gasket to be slightly thicker than the Thetford which was good for sealing it to the flange. No adapter needed. I went back to Camping World and showed the 2 people that told me it would not fit this video and all they could say was “I must have got lucky”. So to answer your question the lack of knowledge is probably why they told me that it would not fit. Thanks for watching.
